by Bryce Walton (1918–1988) was an American pulp fiction writer. He became a writer after the usual try at various other jobs, including sailor, migrant farmer, gold miner, and railroad section hand, all prior to World War II. He served with distinction in the Navy and Marines. After the war, he settled down to be a freelance writer, while completing his college education at California State College (he graduated in 1948). He rapidly found success writing for the science fiction pulps, and his first story, “The Ultimate World,” appeared in Planet Stories (Winter 1945 issue).
