I think I’ve forgotten how to smile naturally. I tried to force it but Sofia looked disappointed with me so I stopped.
Sofia observed my expression for a bit longer before she spoke through a forced smile of her own.“Well it’s not quite a smile but it works fine for me!” She spoke reassuringly which somehow made me feel like I was being pitied and I felt worse.
“There’s nothing else, right?” I asked a bit hesitantly. Looking around at the needlessly large apartment I was starting to feel unsettled again.
