Alice stood anxiously outside of Tony’s house with her heart beating so fast and hard that she feared it would burst. When she’d found out that Susan was back and that he was with her again, her heart was broken for the second time. That was the reason that she’d resigned. Her heart could not handle the sight of them together, day after day.
