Once everyone was gathered, a decision was made to call the police. It was too outside of Lucy’s character to disappear for it to be anything other than foul play. The police arrived within the hour, they each gave a statement, and then the investigation began. Nearby cameras were checked and, by the end of the day, they had found footage of Lucy’s abduction. By then, from witnesses, they already had a make, model, and license plate of the vehicle that had taken her.
Inside the vehicle, Lucy was treated like s**t. When she complained, her captors laughed. Once, the car stopped to pick up something to eat. One of the kids went for food while the other stayed with a gun pointed at her head. If there were any opportunities to escape, Lucy had not seen them.
