When William came out of Donald’s room, Elizabeth was in the living room, heating milk in a microwave oven.
However, a good idea occurred to her as soon as she saw William.
Placing a glass of milk on the table, Elizabeth looked at William and said, “I’ve heated some milk. Do you want to take one glass to Lucy?”
“No, thanks.” William replied indifferently and went straight upstairs, not even looking at her at all.
His attitude was very lukewarm, but Elizabeth had long been accustomed to do it.
“How can you be so indifferent to Lucy? If you go on like this, someone will take her away from you one day!” Elizabeth said.
Hearing her words, William stopped and turned to look at her, and asked, “Don’t beat around the bush. What are you trying to say?”
