While the whole room held their breath, Liam Shaw stared straight ahead, completely calm.
"What else could I think? I just heard some talk going around. Something about Ms. Harper intentionally setting Lily Garland up to work with Martin Palmer from IM."
"And why would I do that?"
Celeste's face was firm, her tone sharp. "Mr. Shaw, you might want to watch your words. Everyone here knows I'm a VP in this company and, at home, I'm your sister-in-law. You say things like that, people might think there's something shady going on behind my husband's back. Ruining my reputation is one thing, but dragging the Shaw family's name through the mud? That's a bigger problem."
