Over the past several months, Celeste still wasn't sure how Ethan Shaw really felt about having kids. She vaguely remembered him mentioning that now wasn't the best time. Maybe he thought a baby would just complicate things, or maybe there was more to it.
Marcus Moore had hit the nail right on the head with his question. Whether to tell Ethan or not made her uneasy too.
After a moment, she said seriously, "I can't get in touch with him right now. I'll wait till he's back."
"Alright," Marcus breathed out slowly, his tone turning firm. "I'll keep it to myself. But if you feel off in any way, go to the hospital. If it's really not convenient, let me know."
"Thanks," Celeste replied, nodding slightly before saying goodbye.
