"Oliver's already here," Celeste said, checking the time once she got out of the car.
Edward remained calm, clearly no stranger to high-stakes scenarios. "Showing up early doesn't always work in your favor. If he's so eager, Matthew might assume he's desperate. That's not great for building trust."
And knowing how skeptical Matthew could be, that point wasn't off the mark.
