Midnight omega

264 Words
As I stalked through the woods looking for my next meal, I felt my father's presence. I stopped walking and lowered myself flat to the ground, my ears laid back, and my don't in the ground. "What is the omega doing out here? Hunting?" He asked before biting my scruff hard enough to hurt. I learned it was better not to talk him or anyone who talks to you as the omega. Once he was finished with his daily tormenting he left to go back to the pack. I got up and continued on my hunt. I jumped over a loss and landed quietly when the Scent of what I was looking for hit my nose. Rabbit! All it took to make my hunger disappear was one little rabbit. I could hunt deer too but then my father would probably kill me himself. I followed the scent quietly. The scent got stronger the closer I got to the creek. There! Asking the edge of the creek, eating the grass was a large rabbit. It was perfect. I got as close as I could.with the wind blowing in my face, that was actually close enough to pounce. I got ready and then jumped. As I landed I heard a crack. I carried my rabbit close to the pack, but far enough to be left alone as I eat. I are the rabbit savoring every bite and thanking it for giving it's life to keep mine alive. Once I finished my meal I went back to my den and layed down. Soon I was fast asleep.
