My life had changed drastically in only a few hours. I was abandoned by my Aunt in the middle of the forest on a mountain. I was only three years old at the time of my abandonment and I was so terrified that I was going to die. Oh I forgot my name is Ama and I was only three years old when my Aunt abandoned me, she would call me a freak of nature as I was no ordinary three year old, I was extremely smart for my age. I was able to walk at three months and started talking at six months. I was by far very advanced in everything. By the time I had turned three I was able to hack into computer systems, my mother didn’t really have to tend to me, as long as I had a step stool I was able to cook and clean by myself, I knew that she loved me but with me being this way she would leave me at home alone. Sometimes she left and wouldn’t come back for days at a time, I would get lonely at times but I would always be able to keep myself company by learning something new. One night my mother had agreed for my Aunt and I to go camping in the mountain’s forest area to give me some experience in sleeping outdoors and wildlife survival, She thought it would be a great thing for me to learn since I have never done it before, but I think it is just an excuse to have even more time to herself without having to worry about me being alone. A lot of people would come up here to camp in the summertime because it is peaceful and very comforting. My aunt led me pretty far from our camp site, saying we needed to scavenge for some food off the land. We came up on a decent sized stream and she then asked me to cross the stream and collect some of the berries off of a bush that sat on the other side. I agreed to doing it not realizing she only wanted to distract me so she could take off and leave me here. I had cried out for her hoping she could hear me or anyone for that matter. I was scared of being out here like this by myself, even though I knew I would survive this. The first few hours I spent by myself was very scary to me. I kept hearing all kinds of noises, coming from different directions. Thinking back on the survival guide I had read before we left to come here and remembered that I needed to find some shelter. So with that in mind, I started running around looking for any type of shelter to sleep for the night. I kept hoping that my mother or aunt would come and find me. I spotted a cave not far off from the stream, so I decided to head for the cave in hopes that I could at least stay the night in it. Upon entering the mouth of the cave I heard a low growl coming from behind me, making me stop in my tracks. I slowly turned to look and saw a big wolf standing there baring its teeth at me. I quickly started taking off further into the cave when I came across another wolf laying on a bed made of leaves and weeds. The wolf was female from what I could tell and she was injured and needed help so I decided to help her and walked closer to her pulling my bookbag off of my back. Which now I am thankful for because in my bookbag are some things like a first aid kit, two water bottles and a couple snacks. I took out the first aid kit and water, first I rinsed off the wound and then applied some ointment before wrapping it up with a clean piece of cloth. The big wolf stood behind me watching my every movement and every time the girl wolf whimpered he would growl at me, warning me to be careful. It’s like I could somewhat understand him, after I was done I hugged her and then laid down next to her. I fell fast asleep but right before I closed my eyes I felt her lick the side of my face, I turned snuggling up into her and burying my face into her fur, her fur smelled like wildflowers and mixed berries. Once I had gotten comfortable on the ground, her scent surrounded me and it put me straight to sleep I woke up confused for a minute because now I was cuddled up next to the big male wolf, it was like he was laying with me like this to help me keep warm. His fur is really soft and it smelled like pine needles and wood. I felt so comfortable with them for some reason, it is like I was meant to live with these wolves. It has been a couple months now since I have started to live with the wolves. I call the big wolf papa now and his mate the female wolf that I helped momma. They became my new family and their four pups are my brothers and sister. I named them as well, they are Slade, Damon, Demon and Jade. Demon is the meanest of the four which is how he got his name. He isn’t mean to me or his family but he can get pretty nasty when he wants. I love my new family. They are my everything, every day we hunt for food and play. We bathe in the stream and sleep in the cave. We do alot together but there are some things that I am not able to do like giving my opinions at the pack gatherings, and until they see fit I can’t go down the mountain where they hunt the deer in the springtime. I am only allowed to do as papa and momma says. I learned that papa is their alpha or also known as the wolf king. We have been having issues with humans coming further into our territory and hunting down our brethren. I remember one night I ended up getting a very bad fever. Momma and papa had taken me to the center of our cave and laid me down on the tall rock. Doing some type of ritual that only the wolf king could know and has transferred some of their wolf-like features to me to help me heal from the fever. I can now hear very far, and my eyes change making them seem bigger, and glow a bright ice blue color. I am now also very strong and can jump pretty high. This makes living with them so much easier, I can now keep up with them on our runs when we go hunting and I can also now help with the kills and carrying the meat back to the cave for the younger pups who couldn’t hunt on their own yet.
