Tardrain smiled and sat back down. We continued our breakfast, and I asked him about his work. He said he was fine, and I told him about my lovely evening with his dad.
"He's a nice man," I said. "We bonded really well."
Tardrain was impressed. "Yeah, my dad is actually the best."
We finished our breakfast, and the rest of the day was spent relaxing and getting to know each other better. I couldn't help but feel a little out of place. It was Christmas, but it didn't quite feel like it. I wasn’t at my family house, and things weren't happening the way they normally did.
Later in the day, my family and Tardrain's dad,
gathered at our house for dinner. It was a lively atmosphere, filled with laughter and chatter.
As we sat down to eat, I hugged my sister and mom tightly, feeling grateful to be spending Christmas with them.
Tardrain's dad, came over and hugged me warmly.
We had a wonderful time, sharing stories and jokes. The chef had prepared an amazing feast, and everyone enjoyed the food.
Later, after lunch, I went upstairs with my sister, Lainey.
"Hey, how's married life treating you?" Lainey asked, as we sat down on the bed.
"It's...different," I replied, trying to find the right words. "I don't know, it's just that Christmas didn't really feel like Christmas this year."
Lainey nodded understandingly. "I know what you mean. It's not the same when we're not all together at home."
I sighed. "Exactly. But anyway, about my marriage...it's fine, I guess. We're still getting to know each other."
Lainey's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "And...has Tardrain made any moves?"
I shook my head. "No, he hasn't. We even sleep in separate rooms. He's giving me time, I think."
Lainey nodded thoughtfully. "He seems like a nice guy."
I smiled. "Yeah, he's cool. He treats me nicely, and he's calm. Even though the marriage was sudden, I'd say I'm kind of happy."
Lainey smiled back at me. "I'm glad to hear that, Xamira."
By 11 PM, everyone had left. I went to my room to freshen up, so did Tardrain. It was already late. Afterward, I went to bed.
As I lay in bed, I suddenly felt touches on my skin. I woke up with a start and saw Tardrain standing beside my bed.
"I'm ready," he whispered, his eyes burning with desire. "I couldn't resist it anymore."
I looked down at him, and my heart skipped a beat. He was hard, his body tense with anticipation.
I felt a wave of confusion and fear wash over me. I wasn't expecting this, not tonight.
Tardrain started crawling into bed, getting under the duvet and joining me. I adjusted to make room for him, holding the duvet to my chest.
Tardrain looked at me, wondering what I was doing. "Little princess ?" he whispered, his voice husky with desire.
I didn't respond, unsure of what to say or do.
Tardrain called out again, "little princess ?" His voice was laced with confusion.
I was still in shock, unsure of how to react.
"What's wrong with you?" Tardrain asked, his brow furrowed. "Why are you covering yourself like that?"
He pulled the duvet off me and started taking off his shirt. I watched in a daze as he loosened the rope of his pajamas.
My eyes began to well up with tears. Tardrain noticed and stopped, looking at me with concern.
But then he spoke, his voice low and husky. "Get undressed, little princess ."
I sluggishly started to take off my nightgown, my hands shaking.
Tardrain hastily tried to help me, pulling the gown off me. He moved his body backwards, his eyes roaming over my body.
I instinctively covered my chest with my arms, feeling exposed and vulnerable.
Tardrain pulled closer to me, his lips crashing against mine. His hand moved downwards along my back, sending shivers down my spine. He pulled me down onto the bed, laying on top of me as his arms slid down to my thighs.
I pulled my mouth off his and tried to push him off, but he was too strong. "Stop!" I said, my voice firm.
Tardrain immediately stopped, looking at me with concern. "What is it, ?" he asked.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. "I can't do this."
Tardrain's expression changed to confusion. "Why? I don't understand. Please, look at me, Xamira."
I tried to look away, but Tardrain's commanding voice skipped my heart “ Look at me” I immediately turned to him.
"I don't want to force you," Tardrain said, his voice softening. "I need you to want this."
I felt a lump form in my throat as I spoke the words I'd been dreading. "I'm genophobic."
Tardrain's expression changed to surprise. "What?"
I apologized, feeling a wave of shame wash over me. "I'm sorry... I need time."
Tardrain covered his face with his palm, taking a deep breath before speaking. "What do you want me to do right now?"
I apologized again, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I'm sorry... about your condition right now... I haven't done this before."
Tardrain looked at me, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You haven't done what before? s*x? You mean you haven't had s*x?"
I nodded, feeling my face heat up with embarrassment. "Yes... I'm a virgin... and I'm also genophobic."
Tardrain breathed in deeply, his expression softening. "I'm sorry... I don't even know what came over me... I shouldn't... I'm so sorry."
Tardrain started dressing, but I pulled him back, holding his hand. "No... don't go."
Tardrain laid down next to me, and we wrapped our arms around each other, falling asleep.
About thirty minutes later, I was jolted awake by the ringing of my phone. I picked it up, groggily answering, "Hello?"
"Ma'am, it's Benson, Tardrain's driver," the voice on the other end said.
I immediately sat up, my heart racing. I put the call on loudspeaker and replied, "Yes, he's here."
Tardrain stirred awake, rubbing his eyes. "I can hear you, Benson. What's the problem?" he asked, his voice still laced with sleep.
Benson's voice was laced with urgency. "Sir, there's an emergency. The boss was shot. We just rushed him to the hospital. We're there now."
Tardrain's expression changed in an instant. "What boss? You mean my dad?" he asked, his voice tight with worry.
Benson confirmed, "Yes, sir. The boss was shot."
Tardrain's face went pale. "Send the location to my phone right now. I'll be there."
He jumped out of bed, and I followed suit. We both started dressing hastily, our minds racing with the news.
