EPISODE with JASON "SWINGO" JONAS January, 2010 PORO PORO, PERU Toting his pack, Jason Jonas hops out of a small van at the outskirts of a village at the end of day and steps into a cantina. Its functional tables look like four-tops in American school cafeterias. Most of its patrons are Native Peruvian men in T-shirts and baseball hats. Several look up briefly and noncommittally. Jonas scans the room, sides up to the table serving the drinks, and orders a bottled beer, a Crystal, by tapping an empty forty-ouncer beside him. The new one comes out, a small glass beside it. He stands, sips, and texts. In ten minutes, a good-looking young man in a trucker cap stands from his table and steps up to the space beside Jonas. He has sharp features and an aquiline nose.
