SAN JUAN CHAMULA, MEXICO
Jason "Swingo" Jonas walks into the street of a sprawling Mexican town on a bright afternoon, a light hip-pack slung over his shoulder like a bandolier. Behind him his big blond friend peers under the hood of their Humvee at a Pemex station. The other two agents are approaching the porch of an outdoor cafe.
Jonas strolls by himself about the streets, sipping occasionally from his water bottle. He looks with amusement on the sights. The mix of architectural styles includes Spanish Colonial. Among the generally low, plain buildings is the occasional brick wall or even a full building that looks as if it could date back to the era of the Conquistadors.
