No way

Kori was pleased that the havoc her body was wreaking seemed to have been subsided by her extremely intense and insanely hot dream. She puts her hand between her legs and tightens her grip while squeezing her knees together. She moans. She wants the man of her dreams, literally. She sprawls out on her bed like a starfish and lets out an angry sigh. ‘Great! My first crush and he doesn’t even exist!’ She blows out her breath in disbelief, ‘Am I crazy? I gotta get outta this town! I’m loosin’ it!’ She thinks of Lee for a second, she argues with herself that he doesn’t count as a crush. He was so mean to her and while she was momentarily excited during that incident, she had no real feelings for him. She sighs. ‘Okay, time to get outta my head!’ She still felt so off but would take her feeling like a stranger in her body over the pain and discomfort she felt before taking her 12 hour nap! She putters around the house trying to ignore her body while doing her chores. After cleaning up dinner Kori heads to her room. She winds down before bed and starts mentally preparing for another start to the week at school. Kori didn’t know why but something about Mondays, the bullying was always the worst on Mondays. Like the kids are deprived of their relief with no one to torture for two days. She rolls her eyes. She rests her head down on her desk and picks up her pencil, mindlessly dragging it along a piece of paper. The tall white haired boy pops into her mind. She burns with desire as she remembers how real he felt as he threw her legs around him and her body against the wall, effortlessly. She closes her eyes and bites her bottom lip. ‘God damn!’ She breathes out. She gives her head a shake as if that would prevent her from thinking of him. She begins to draw his face, focused on his eyes. So deep, so intense. She can’t reconcile how anyone could have red eyes but knows that unexplainable things happen in this world. She was one of them! Her mom has a blood type that no other person in this world has, until she had Kori of course. The doctors couldn’t really explain it outside of a ‘genetic drift’ and Sandra had an extremely sheltered life. Sandra’s blood had a unique ability, she could donate to every blood type, even the golden blood type, RHNull! Very valuable blood but on the other side of the coin, no other blood type was compatible with hers. So, any significant blood loss would result in her death. Kori inherited this rare blood type but since she had her mom, there wasn’t nearly as much fear and Sandra never put Kori in a bubble. Kori decides that if her and her mom exist, red eyes are entirely possible and continues to sketch out his drop dead gorgeous face, one that could only exist in a dream. She begins to get sleepy and wonders before crawling into bed if she’ll be blessed with another visit by her dream boy tonight. Excited by the thought. 7:00am, alarm clock goes off. Kori’s a little sad that she didn’t dream of her fantasy guy but didn’t have time to sulk. She does her morning routine, eats her breakfast, kisses her mom goodbye and heads to school. She notices on her walk that the changes she had felt were a little honed in today. She felt sort of, enhanced. She felt good but she just chalked it up to not having a sexy dream for the first time since her 18th birthday and probably got a decent sleep. She walks into the school, ready for the usual attack but to her great surprise, no one said anything, not even Pricilla, however her glare seemed angrier than usual. Somehow that concerned Kori. ‘Why isn’t she calling me a w***e?’ She thought anxiously. She noticed the glares she was getting seemed more curious and more angry than usual. ‘Do I have something on my face? Why the hell is everyone looking at me so differently?’ Kori thinks to herself as she quickens her pace to retreat in the washroom to check her appearance. She looks in the mirror and doesn’t notice anything at first! She hears a few girls chatting and headed into the washroom. Kori quickly runs into a stall and closes the door quietly. ‘Can you believe it?’ One girl exclaims. ‘No! Can you?’ One girl responds while the other just shakes her head, no! ‘He’s an Anson.’ ‘I thought the Anson’s only had one son? Didn’t he graduate like 4 years ago?’ The three girls chat amongst themselves. ‘I don’t care if he is older, he’s so f**cking hot!’ ‘Amber!?!?’ The two other girls laugh! The bell rings and the girls scurry to class! Kori was intrigued but much too concerned with why everyone was looking at her differently today. She looks in the mirror, turns on the cold water and splashes her face a few times. She still feels so strange. She grabs her chest and winces, it feels like there’s force, a sorta pressure pulling her. Kori slowsly blows out a concerned breath, ‘what the hell is going on?’ She says while looking up at herself in the mirror. Noticing this time something a little different about her eyes. But before taking a deeper look she remembers the bell rang and she needed to book it to class. She runs with all she’s got down the hall to make it through the door of her psychology class before the second bell rings! She grabs the doorway frame and pivots violently into the class. Inertia throwing her to the ground. The bell rings! Kori sighs in relief and cracks a half smile, seemingly proud of herself. ‘Too close!’ She thinks. She stands up and collects herself. Looking down at her legs she pats the dust off her skirt and then flips her hair to the side, running her fingers through it while looking up towards the back of the classroom at her seat. She freezes... and sucks a surprised breath in fast and hard, so hard she almost coughs. Her arm that was brushing her hair out of her face drops to her side, limp. The whole class is staring at her, some of them laughing while the teacher says, ‘nice entrance, Kori! Please take your seat!’ But she doesn’t hear the command or the laughter. Her ears are ringing and everyone’s a blur. A new student’s sitting at the back of the room, holding her captive with his insanely intense gaze. Her body walks toward him without her permission. Ignoring the teacher and the students. Their eyes don’t stray from eachother, she stops beside his desk, turning to face him, Zane stands up, Kori’s gaze shifting from looking down to up as he towers over her. They’re alone for two seconds, shakily breathing each other in before Kori’s pulled back into reality as Mrs.Yuri shouts her name for the 5th time. Kori snaps her eyes to her teacher, shocked and embarrassed as everyone’s looking at her, she quickly sits at her desk. Zane sits down, still staring at Kori. Kori’s breathing quickens as she tries to comprehend the situation. Unbelievable, this isn’t happening. ‘No way!’ Kori thinks. The boy she’s been dreaming of… is sitting right next to her!
