"I am feeling better today," Mara said as we walked down the hallway.
She actually looked better, her eyes were brighter, her shoulders were not as tense as they had been all week. She was walking like someone who had finally put something heavy down. "Yeah?" I said.
"Yeah," she said. "I think I just needed to talk about it. To actually say the things I was scared of out loud."
We turned the corner and almost walked straight into Liam and Kael. Liam grabbed our shoulders to stop us from colliding.
"Perfect timing," he said. He was grinning the way he always did when he had something to say. "Have you heard about the dance?"
"What dance?" Mara asked.
