“Holly,” he greeted when his eyes caught mines,” are you alright?”
I nodded, hoping he doesn’t take another step closer. I could almost feel the tingling on my skin at the nearness of his body. It made me both nervous and slightly lustful.
“I’m alright, how are you?”
“I’m okay, I just wanted to check on you-“
“I’m okay, you don’t have to do that.”
“Yes I do, I’m the reason you’re in this mess in the first place.”
