Kate: I gunned the engine as I left the MC bar. I sped through the quiet streets and into downtown, the neon lights of the strip club flickering in the distance. I knew exactly where I needed to go, and it wasn’t just for the usual night of trouble or distraction. It was time to make sure things went my way. I pulled into the back lot of the dance club, the familiar low hum of the building's neon lights buzzing overhead. My boots clicked on the pavement as I made my way around to the back entrance. Even though I wasn't scheduled to work tonight, they always let me in. I knew how to work the system, and tonight, I had a feeling my instincts would be spot-on. Inside, the dim lights and smoky air were a constant buzz, but my mind was sharp, focused on my next move. I was here for a reason.
