I paced from one end of my office to the other, thinking about the incident that had happened earlier today.
Elder Xan had always been a calm person. I still couldn’t understand what had possessed him to act out like that.
I’d left my Beta, mike in charge of him and instructed him to let me know the moment Xan woke up from his slumber. The elder had questions to answer …and so did Roxellena.
My gaze flicked to the golden clock on the wall.Exactly twenty minutes had passed since I gave her the order to show up.
I dropped into my chair and gave her three more minutes.
