My thoughts ran on different possibilities that night, if I could even call that a night. The blank canvass loomed over us like a single sheet of bond paper. The stale air remained consistent, violating my nose. No matter how I tossed and turned, I could not bring myself to unconsciousness. I gave up and sighed.
