Jeremy Jones walked briskly to the door of his office, his manager right behind him. Surprisingly, the cleaner stood outside the door with a frustrated look.
"What's wrong David?" Jeremy asked, in a voice too deep for his facial features.
David began to quiver as he fiddled with the napkin in his hand. Speechless, he pointed towards the door. Without wasting much time Jeremy opened the door and walked into the office. The office was in order, save a shattered wine glass and some blood stains on the rug.
"Who did this?!" Jeremy yelled angrily, scaring his manager and the cleaner who stood at the door.
"I...I ... I don't know sir," David stammered fearfully. "I came in this morning to find it this way."
Furious, Jeremy turned to his manager. "Damron, the control room."
Damron nodded and led the way to the control room.
"CCTV footage of last night, right now," Jeremy said to the operator immediately they got into the room.
The operator wasted no time in producing the footage. It was dark, except for the beam of the thief's flashlight. His face could not be seen.
"Damn!" Jeremy cursed as he smacked the back of the operator's chair. He scratched his forehead for a while and then brightened up suddenly. He dashed out of the control to his office. Walking over the glass and blood, he walked over to his desk and brought out his laptop. He had a secret camera installed in his office. No one knew where it was. He hoped the thief turned on the light in his office. But it was the same thing. But soon, he heard the shattering of glass from the video clip. And then a cry of pain. It was a lady. The thief was a lady. So shocking. Luckily the lights were turned on. At last, he saw the pretty face. After she left, he frowned. "You would have to apologise to me in person."
Jeremy later discovered that she didn't steal all the money in his safe. She had only taken 2 million dollars. And he had about 10 billion in the large safe. Was she some kind of righteous thief , he wondered. He deeply regretted the fact that he was unable to see how she carried out the theft. A skillful female thief. He was impressed. But no one messes with Jeremy Jones and goes scot-free.
After showing her face to his private army, he had them looking for her all over New York. Anyone who found her first, got a cash prize of 10 million.
She was to be found at any cost.
