The Girl In-Between

Chapter 17

"So we'll come at them from both ends. You take one group to the west of them and i'll take a group from the North. I'll get Mason to the South with a small group and your Beta from the East. Meaning we'll have the right in the middle. Does everyone understand" I watched Ollie discussing the plans to attack the group of rogues that are a huge threat to us and Layton pack.

I was admiring the way they both were at their Alpha position. They both look mighty tall and muscular. Power could be smelt from both of them. Everyone in the office were all fixed to them both. Knowing who's on who's team, which team were taking which sides and how they shall attack. For this battle both alpha's have agree to open up a link between them so if anything changes they were all kept in the loop.

I wasn't allowed to help out so I sat in the corner and from time to time I stare out the window not listening to what they were talking about. I had my legs pulled up to my chest and rested my arms over them, my chin rested on my top of my knees. I felt eyes looking at me from time to time like they were worried about me. When i glanced around to look it wasn't just Ollie looking it was Layton to. It confused me but i smiled to reassure the both i was ok. 

I zoned out completely from the conversation going on and half falling asleep. When I zoned back in most of the room had cleared out but Layton and Ollie.

"Hey guys, i'm going to go back to the hospital ward let you guys get finish up" Standing up and making my way to the door.

"Are you ok" Ollie asked just as I was reaching for the handle.

"Yeah fine..." I trailed of and smiled to them both. Ollie nodded not buying it but let's it go anyways since he had a lot to talk through with Layton still.

I thought about going down to the hospital ward but by the time I found my way back to the front of the house I had changed my mind. I looked into the games room and saw of the guys messing around on the wii. It looked like they were having fun, I went over to the 2 seater sofa and grab the throw of the back wrapping it around me for warmth.

"Do you wanna play?" I blinked from the screen to Spence and shaked my head signalling no, and offer a smile.

"Ok, hey babe bring some popcorn over?" I hadn't noticed anyone was in the kitchen until Spence called over. I glanced up to see Indi working herself around the place she threw me a smile and a wave before grabbing a packet out the cupboard and popping it into the microwave.

'Ding' Microwave was done and Indi came over with a bowl and poured the bag into it. It didn't take the guys long to make a complete mess. There was popcorn everywhere i'm sure the cleaner would be finding it for weeks in all those hidden areas.

"Hey" I heard someone say from behind me. Glancing up I see Layton, he walked past me and sat on one of the over sofas. "Ollie will be right out...I thought you were going-" I cut him of sort of butting my way in.

"Yeah I was gonna but I changed my mind" Shrugging and turned back to face the oversized tv on the wall. I could see feel Layton eyes on me. Not sure what he was staring at but i was really ok. Well in the moment. I was I heard the door open from behind me. Ollie's scent filled my senses. Meaning he was finished what he was doing. He noticed me sitting by myself on the 2 seater moving  towards me and moving the throw so he could get comfy under it too.

"I thought you were going down stairs" He whispered in my ear, his breath gently grazing my ear.

"I was going to but I changed my mind. I'm not sure I can face going down just get" I could feel him sighing next to me putting his arm around the back of my neck pulling me in closer. 

The guys carry on with their game once the popcorn is all gone or more is all over the floor. I heard Ollie grunt, everyone apart from me looked at him before turning their heads back to the screen.

"Oh come on that's not fair" Spencer whined obviously getting beaten.

"It's the name of the game, if you can't handle it give the control to someone who can" Mason threw back at him.

"Here give me a bash" Layton piped up from the other side. Spencer getting nowhere handed the control over to him.

"Now i'll show you how to play this game" They were only playing Mario kart. It's like the most common game everyone plays right. I shock my head thinking 'men'.

He choose my favourite character which is Yoshi and then choose the bike which i normally choose when i played too. He started of in 6th place and zoomed into second then first. He was pretty good but i don't think he could beat me. I wasn't going to offer up that challenge just yet either. Maybe another time.

It was pretty late in the evening, day seemed to pass without any hitches. I haven't been down to the hospital all day and i wasn't planning to either that place made me uncomfortable. I fancied getting out of the house for a bit but deciding what we were all going to do was baffling.

"Why don't we just go to the cinema? You know that new Channing Tatum movie it out" Indi and me started to talk about hunky he was. The guys all turned to us as if to say are you kidding.

"Oo yeah he's dead fit ain't me. Give me a piece of him any day mmm" I chimed along getting Ollie's attention. He turned to give me a raised eyebrow. I just grinned at him.

"Ahh am im not hot enough for you" Ollie seemed little piss with me. I heard him lowly growl.

I actually slowly tip toed over to him and entwined my fingers around his neck bringing his head down so his lips were hanging in front of me.

"Aww are you jealous. You know your the hottest in my eyes" Whispering gently for only him to hear. I felt my cheeks flush hoping no one was listening in but i felt all their eyes on my back.

His lips spreading out with the corner turning up into a full blow grin. "And how hot would you class that as?" I knew where this was going and i know myself that he likes to make sure he's the only candy in my eyes.

"Your so hot i could just take you up stairs and do wicked things to you" I pecked his cheeks and stepped away twirling back to face everyone.

"So we're going to the cinema then" Everything giving their heads little shake while laughing at Ollie's face.

"Cinema yeah sound great" Mason said looking confused.

"Sweet let's go then" I grabbed Ollie's hand and dragged him out to my car. I could tell her was turned on a bit turning to hide his man hood behind me reaching for the front door Ollie snatch my keys and ran bumping me back a little. "Ouch" I said playing on the hurt, making it sound like he really hurt me.

"s**t sorry Kace" He ran back to check on me and i play on it little more before snatching my keys back and run pressing the button and getting into the driving seat. I shut the door before he had the chance to pull me back out. I stuck my tongue out like a kid laughing at him. Ollie rolled his eyes at me getting in the other side. No longer thinking of his man hood standing up. "That's not cool" He muttered sulky putting his seat belt in.

"Oh come on you still hurt me you know" I showed him my arm where the was a bruise just appearing but i didn't dwell on it.

"I'm sorry" He examined my arm a little then gently kissed it. "Does it hurt?"

"Um a little but it's ok. I know you didn't mean it" I leaned over a gave him a kiss before popping my on seat belt in.

Mason, Spence and Indi squeeze into the back seats of my car. I had thought they would be taking one of there own but i guess not. Me and Ollie both turned around and the same time looking at the all my face had redden slightly.

"Ah guys what are you doing?" Ollie asked.

They all looked at us confused. "I think they think we're giving them a lifted to" I giggle and started that car.

"Oh..I umm" Indi answered.

"Well you see wee... umm" I looked in the mirror to see Spence muttered and looking like down like we were telling him off.

"We thought you were driving us all there so we didn't pick up the other car key" Mason finished for them all.

I looked over to Ollie with a raise eyebrow "Oh i see" we smile between ourselves and i pulled away from the curb. We couldn't de-tour if we wanted too.
