BACK FROM SCHOOL (IRISIE’S POV)

It was a long and tiring day but finally i’m back home, I won't say i’m back home, I would rather call this place a house because what home means to me is my mom and dad being together, and leaving happily as one I thought to myself.

Mom: Hey darling, welcome back how was your first day?

Irisie: it was okay, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I realised my mom wasn't as happy as she pretended to be. After getting a divorce from my Dad she has been so moody, I am also hurting but it seems she is hurting more than I do, I needed to do something to cheer her up.

I slowly walked up to her, held her hands and slowly led her to the couch and sat beside her.

Irisie: mom, I know you are hurting a lot because am also hurting, I understand what you are going through, but we need to be strong for both of us. People go through worse things but they still thrive on, we can do it to mom. They are not better than us.

Let us show Dad we can definitely leave without him okay?

Mom: you are right Darling, I won't cry over him anymore, you are all I wanted and am so glad I got to keep you here with me. I love you Irisie

Irisie: I love you to mom but not more than the food you are cooking right now.

We both burst out laughing loudly

Mom: Go freshen up and come have your dinner

Irisie: okay mom......
