School is finally done for the day, and I can't wait to head home and unwind. I'm looking forward to figuring out what I want to do this evening. One option that's on my mind is attending Aaron's senior party at his house. His parents are out of town, so you know it's going to be an epic party. Aaron always goes all out when it comes to throwing parties, and I'm sure tonight will be no exception. The thought of going to his party is really exciting, and I think I'm definitely going to go. As I'm contemplating the party, Jasper starts nagging me about finding our mate and claiming her. He's convinced that it's time for us to go on the hunt and make her ours. I, on the other hand, am not so sure. I argue with Jasper, explaining that there's no point in searching for her because I had already made up my mind to reject her. My words only seemed to anger Jasper even more, but I honestly couldn't care less. I continue to tell him that even if I were to find her and claim her, it wouldn't make a difference because she hasn't even shifted into her wolf form yet. In the midst of all this, I can't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, I'm excited about the party and the fun that awaits me there. On the other hand, I'm feeling conflicted about the whole mate situation. It's a lot to process, but for now, I'm just going to focus on enjoying the evening and letting go of any worries. I think to myself, maybe if I'm lucky I can get some p***y tonight that will relieve some of the stress I'm under right now.
As I approach Aaron's house, my heart races with anticipation. Each step I take brings me closer to the excitement that awaits. The sun is slowly setting, casting a warm glow over the neighborhood, signaling that the party is about to kick off. Stepping inside, the thumping beats of the music immediately engulf me. The living room has been transformed into a dope dance floor, pulsating with life. The atmosphere is electrifying, charged with the mingling scents of sweat, adrenaline, s*x and the occasional whiff of alcohol.
Amidst the crowd, I caught sight of Aaron, the center of attention, surrounded by a group of attractive freshmen girls. As usual he goes after the fresh meat. His charisma and charm are undeniable, drawing the freshman girls towards him like moths to a flame. Determined to make the most of the night, I navigate through the sea of my already wasted classmates, making my way to the kitchen. There, I make myself a concoction of Fireball and Dr Pepper, a mix drink that promises to add an extra kick to the already exhilarating atmosphere.
I stride out of the kitchen and back into the living room, and as I approach Aaron, the girls that were all over him scamper away like frightened kittens. He shoots me a scowl and grumbles, "Dude, you didn't have to ruin the fun for the night." We both burst into laughter, but when the laughter subsides, his expression turns serious. He asks, "So what's been going on with you today at school?" I proceed to tell him that I've found my mate, and his face immediately lights up. "Hell yeah, man! That's awesome! Who is she? Do I know her? What's her name?" I let out a sigh and reply, "It's the new girl, Makayla. But honestly, it's not that great. I'd rather have never found her. She seems weak and not worth my time and energy. I'm still a player, and I don't plan on jeopardizing my reputation for some unwanted mate crap." Aaron stares at me dumbfounded and exclaims, "Good lord, man! Are you kidding me? That's your mate, the one you're destined to spend eternity with! How do you even know she's weak?" I c**k an eyebrow and smirk, "I just know, man. I sensed it when I bumped into her this morning at school. Plus, she hasn't even shifted into her wolf yet." Aaron looks at me, bewildered, and asks, "Well, when is her birthday? Surely, she's turning 18 soon and will get her wolf." I shrug my shoulders and reply nonchalantly, "I don't know when her birthday is. I didn't care enough to ask. It still doesn't matter, though. I plan on rejecting her regardless." Aaron's eyes widen with disbelief, and he retorts, "Seriously, dude? How can you reject her before she even gets her wolf? There's no telling how strong she may or may not be. Yeah, she may seem weak right now, but that could all change once she experiences her first shift." Aaron's constant nagging was starting to piss me off. He just couldn't seem to understand why I wanted to reject my mate, and he kept going on and on about it. I couldn't take it anymore, so I raised my voice and told him to shut up. As if dealing with Jasper's nagging wasn't enough, now I had Aaron adding to the mix. Finally, he dropped the topic, and we went back to enjoying ourselves, surrounded by the company of attractive freshman girls. But then, out of nowhere, that intoxicating scent of sweet roses hit me again.
I turned away from the girl I had just been making out with, and there she was - my mate walking into the house with some girl from school that I didn't know very well. All I knew about her was that she was in my art class. I looked at Aaron and asked if he had any idea who invited my alleged mate. Of course, he looked confused, completely clueless. I couldn't believe it. I was getting more and more furious by the second. I demanded to know who the hell invited her to the party. Aaron quickly averted his gaze, avoiding eye contact with me. I yelled at him, my anger boiling over, and asked the question again. He finally mustered the courage to look back at me and admitted that he had stumbled upon her while handing out invitations. He thought she was so incredibly hot and sexy that he believed he could get lucky with her tonight.
My blood boiled with rage. I did my best to restrain Jasper, who was ready to tear Aaron's head off for even thinking about touching our mate. I forcefully pushed Aaron against the wall, my voice filled with fury as I continued to yell at him. I made it crystal clear that he would never lay a finger on my mate. How dare he even entertain the idea? She was mine!
