Chapter 5A small part of me knew that I should pull back. I should remind him that he had a partner who, as we kissed, was making brownies in my freaking kitchen.
I couldn’t bring myself to do that. The larger part of me sunk into the kiss. I deepened it by prying his lips open with my tongue. He tasted of herbs and spices from the meal I’d just cooked but there was something beneath it, something sweet like nectar, and I wanted more.
That’s when Enzo broke the kiss.
“Did you hear that?” he glanced around almost like he’d completely forgotten that he’d just been sucking my face off only moments before.
