“Just say what you have to say already, Vale,” Dimitri muttered. I could hear the anxiousness in his voice.
“Information reaching me is that Marcus, the Sheriff's brother, is out of the hospital.”
” That's great news!” I blurted before I could stop myself. Marcus was out of the hospital, huh? Meaning that he'd be back at school in no time.
That was amazing. Madison was going to be so happy to see him. I missed her so much.
“And?” Dimitri asked over the phone; his voice was icy, and it made my heart sink.
“And…it seems the Sheriff has help now. Someone inside our organization is feeding him information.”
