Dimitri's POV Vale and I took the long way back, making sure we weren't being followed. We ditched the car twice and switched over to different vehicles his people had staged at strategic points throughout the city. My mind was a storm of mixed emotions and, more especially, disgust towards myself. I couldn't stop looking at my bloodied fists and just what might've been going through Blair's mind. She must certainly hate me now. She definitely saw the demon that couldn't control himself and almost killed a man in front of her. Through all their agony spinning around in my head, it was this one thought that hurt the most—The thought of Blair no longer wanting to meet my eyes. That might quite literally kill me. I sighed, trying to let out my building frustration the best that I could.
