Blair's POV
The rest of the day passed in a blur of chaos. Police swarmed the school, questioning students about the attack on Marcus Wheeler. Apparently, someone had jumped him in the parking lot on his way to school and tried to force him into a black van, but Marcus managed to fight back.
The attackers had fled the scene by the time other students arrived and found Marcus badly injured on the ground. He was being admitted into the hospital right at that very moment.
Madison was nothing short of a wreck as she clutched my arm tightly during lunchtime, muttering that it was all her fault and she shouldn't have been so selfish; she should have just told the Sheriff. That she was the definition of an evil person, and she'd never forgive herself.
