Dimitri's POV
I wound the car window down, letting the moving air run through my hair as Vale drove. I let my mind wander as I stared at the city lights, allowing the serenity to wash over me.
Basically, after we found out that we had only ‘48 hours’ to find out who was threatening Giovanni and essentially us by holding his sister, Vale figured it might just be a fluke.
“You really think they're just bluffing.”
“It's just a hunch, but you know—” he said, and I did know, Vale's hunches were never wrong. “I mean, think about it, they were using Giovanni for an entire month and all of a sudden they don't need him anymore?”
“Plus, they didn't know that we were aware of Giovanni being a traitor.”
“Exactly and otherwise, what would the Sheriff gain by outing that kind of information back
