We moved inside to the formal living room, where staff had already set up drinks and appetizers. I took a seat on the sofa, and before I could stop him, Trevor sat directly beside me…a little too close for comfort if I had a say, but obviously I didn't.
"So, Blair," he said, angling his body toward me. "Valor tells me you just moved here from New York. How are you adjusting to LA life?"
"It's different," I said, inching slightly away. "Busier, more…."
"Exciting?" Trevor cut off, his smile widening. "I think you'll find LA has a lot to offer a girl like you."
