Chapter 3

1987 Words
Shera snuggled into her pillow and tried to block the sunlight streaming into her eyes. Slowly her conciousness awakend and she heaved a tiny soft breathy sigh of relief. "I'm still here!" she thought. Rolling around to find a cool spot in the bed, she threw off her covers and was shocked to find that she only wore a white baby-tee shirt and her white cotton panties. Then suddenly it hit her that she was alone in the room. No other girls...just her. No need for jammies. She lazily rolled onto her back and let the day before run through her mind. The biggest day of her life. Her sixteenth birthday.. Not that anyone had celebrated with her. Shera had been an orphan since she was 3 years old. Bounced around foster and children's homes...she had finally wound up here. Alone. Not that she hadn't tried to be a part of a family. And then she had been shifted to here after she was hospitalized after an animal attack. She had no idea why the authorities had considered it necessary but she had been said that she would find her kind of people here at a town called Shannon’s Ridge. But here also it was the same. But no matter how hard she tried to be good, her presence always meant trouble. Men always paid more attention to her than women. And that usually led to conflict. Shera was a stunner. A classic southern knockout. Tiny and petite..fine-boned with waist length blond hair and electric blue cat-eyes. Eyelashes too long to wear sunglasses. She still had killer legs. Her ass was very round and pert to be so thin and her full size B breasts rounded out her tiny frame. Her voice was soft and breathy. Feather light.  The guys at school would tease her that Mark McGwires forearm was bigger than her waist. Shera could always count on attention from guys. That was the only affection she ever really received. But she had been abused and neglected so many times by people she thought that she could trust.... by the time she had reached high school she had shut herself down. Every time she moved to a new school, the girls shot cold glances towards her while their boyfriends salivated. After many fights and getting dumped from many nice homes because of these problems... But today she was going to go to school and be a good girl until and unless the circumstances forced her to be a b***h again. So she wore something which was going to make sure that a lot of attention was not going to be paid at her. The only girl in the school who was nice to her was the girl who was an outcast. Her name was Rossetta but she was a human being and there was this fact that she was not. She knew that she was something else like everyone in this town except Rossetta. Shera went to take a quick shower so that she could dress up and get ready and then go to school. She chose a jeans and white shirt with a blue jeans jacket. It was so much of a comfort dress that she knew that no one was actually going to take a look at her. Anonymity was the only thing that was going to help her right now. And staying with the outcast she had no clue how but she knew that it was the only way that she was going to be able to talk to Macbeth. The one who always stuck to Rossetta. He did not pay attention to anyone else at all and even though it was a bit boring she knew that it was essential because Alpha Callum had issued the decree that Rossetta was under his protection and anyone who dared to touch her would face the worst punishment. She was a human before that night when she was scratched and bitten and left for the dead. But after that she had seen she had been able to heal, and the doctors had been shocked but someone from the Child Protection Services had come and made sure that she would come to Shannon’s Ridge. Things had changed a lot for Shera when she had understood that something different was going on in her body. She had asked the woman who had been with her and she had said that all will be explained to her when she would meet people like her. To be honest to herself, Shera felt comfortable only with herself. She walked to the school and hoped that this place would be different and she could make something different of herself this year. Rossetta and Macbeth were standing near the lockers and Rose looked at her and waved and called her. “Hey Shera!” Shera wished that she had not done that but she looked back and gave her a tight lipped smile. And then walked in their direction. “How was your summer?” asked Rose as she smiled jovially. The girl had an infectious and good natured smile and Shera said,” It is better than what I had thought. At least till now I did not face any kind of issues what I had faced earlier.” “Are you having any kind of symptoms or cravings which you have not told your care taker about?” she asked with great concern and Shera hated the girl for making her look weak in front of Macbeth but he was also looking at her with the same question in his eyes. “I am craving more meat that I used to. And I am still not gaining weight. So that should be a plus, is it not?” Shera smiled and Macbeth snorted and said,” Of course that is a huge plus. Except for Rose of course who has to run five miles every single day so that she won’t gain weight.” “You run?” asked Shera in shock. “Why is that a problem?” asked Rose and Shera shook her head and said,” Actually I used to love running. I used to run cross country but they wanted me in the cheerleading squad. Here also, I don’t want to be a cheerleader but I don’t think that someone is going to listen to me.” “With an ass like that….I am gonna need her to be in the cheerleading squad,” said a drawl of a male voice. And all three of them looked at the voice and found that the football team Captain was coming towards them and Rose immediately scowled. The boy had come from behind her and then caught hold of her butt and then pressed it hard. And Shera wanted to scream in shock but she knew that it was going to only attract more attention. She only grunted and gasped in surprise of the attack. “Rose, don’t,” said Macbeth as he stood up in his full height and guarded her but she had already pushed him aside and standing before Shera with her scowl and said,” Apologise to her, immediately.” “You don’t get to speak to me that way, human. Get lost,” said Jack, the captain as all the other males sniggered and Shera rolled her eyes. This was something she hated and she wished the this would not be a problem the first day of school but what happened then was something she never had thought. Jack had thought that he was going to push away Rose on her face and she would fall down and everyone would think of her as a joke but instead Rossetta caught hold of his hand and then broke his middle finger with a resounding c***k and then when he screamed she looked at him and then cracked his wrist harder. “Women are not objects and definitely not something that you wish you tap. This time it was your hand, the next time it will be my blade and your d**k. So that you can never think of putting it in someone who does not wish your attention,” said Rose and suddenly there was a scream from another girl who came at Rossetta and this time Shera did not hesitate and caught hold of her punch and folded her arm with a slap. Rossetta gave her a smile and said,” I see that she could have kicked your ass as well, Jack.” Jack was screaming and almost the entire school was surrounding them and they were silent and Rose said,” This year your reign in the school ends. You think that high school is your kingdom but guess what. Not any longer.” The other boys were snarling and growling at her but none of them dared to go against Macbeth. Rossetta might be human but Macbeth was not and he was one of the strongest wolves in the entire pack. The worst thing was he was the son of a Beta, and that too his mother was the Beta which had happened once in a century. So this boy was never going to help them when they had disrespected a girl. “Apologise now,” he growled at the boys who looked at them and they all said sorry in unison. Jack had fallen on his knees and was weeping like a child and everyone was laughing at him. Rossetta said,” Make no mistake, boys. This year is going to be different and every single moment you think no one is looking this human girl will be there to kick your ass.” “You only say that because you walk with a bodyguard who is no less than a Hulk,” said one of the boys as he spat on the ground and Rose smiled at him and it seemed like the air chilled a few degrees. Shera said,” let it go, Rossetta. They are not worth it.” “If we let it go today then they are going to make sure that it keeps on happening to every single girl every single day. Other women might not have a problem but those who do, what will they do? I am standing for them. And you, I shall be in the clearing before the woods after school out of school grounds, alone. If you are brave enough to come then we shall have a fight there. The one who will break the first five bones wins. Done?” The boys laughed out loud and looked at her but she was still standing there and said,” I already broke three bones in his body. I don’t mind breaking off five of yours as a demo definitely.” And the bell rang and they said,” We will be there after school, b***h. And when you lose we shall f**k your friend before you and make her scream.” Rossetta growled at them and Macbeth held her back and Shera said,” Why did you go and pick a fight with them just for my sake?” “Because I can and because if I don’t then no one else would have. Because I should have made sure that he would not be able to use his hand ever but since he is a wolf that is not going to happen. Come on let’s go to class. You are sitting with us, from today.” “Are you sure?” asked Shera as she looked at Macbeth and he smiled at her and nodded. Her heart pounded a bit faster thinking that she was going to be close to the boy whom she liked.
