CHAPTER 9: I’M SEEING RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS.

2046 Words
Oliver can't believe what happened earlier. It was further than what he expected to happen. They may have lost a little control. He is now on top of his bed, still in his clothes earlier and it was almost two in the morning. His mind is racing as it replayed everything that happened earlier. He's still pumped up with adrenaline and can still feel the tingling all over his body. The date that Saber prepared was just perfect for Oliver. He knew Saber planned everything down to the T and considered everything that Oliver may want. He was quite embarrassed at first of what happened at school and how everyone was talking and glancing at him. It was even worse when Yana questioned him about what happened but he is still not sure of how things escalated. Saber was not in their afternoon classes and that made the gossip spread even more. They said that he might be preparing for the date or whatsoever. Some girls also gave her evil looks and say that they cannot believe Saber is gay and is asking me 'a normal person' to a date. That hurt a little but I choose to ignore all those and just waited for the day to end. As soon as the bell rang signaling the end of the day, Yana fired all her questions at me asking why didn't I tell her I was gay and was crushing on the new student? What will I do on the date? Will we be doing naughty things? He was horrified at what his best friend is asking him but he was even more appalled when Yana acted like a mother hen in front of Saber and worse of all they were in the middle of the parking lot that time. It was great that Saber acted normal the whole ride towards the destination of their date. They just talked and share details about each other like normal friends. Oliver was thankful because it made him relax and comfortable. When they arrived at the clearing it was so beautiful that it left him speechless. Saber's plan for their date was a little cliché but Oliver liked it. It would be awkward and embarrassing if Saber took him to a restaurant or the movies. And he is still not prepared for any of that. He is still new in this 'a boy liking him and wanting to date' scene. The whole date was like a chance for them to know each other more and just get comfortable with each other's presence. It was a laid-back but fun date. His favorite part was when they were sitting in Saber's car and just gazing at the sky. It was serene and quiet but for Oliver, it felt perfect. But boy everything suddenly changed when they accidentally looked at each other. Oliver can see the want in Saber's eyes and before he knew it he was kissing the boy. It was sweet and innocent until he was hauled in Saber's lap heavily making out. There wasn't even a space left between them and he can feel every bit of Saber. Oliver's face became hot as he recalled that particular thought. His fingers automatically reached for his lips, he can still feel the softness of Saber's lips against his. He can almost hear his heart pounding just thinking of Saber. 'Oh my god, I can't believe I kissed Saber again. I know I am not gay, I think, but damn that boy can kiss.' Oliver thought. He might be pressing himself to think that he is not gay but the way his heart pounds when he is around Saber and the electrifying feeling that he got when they kissed was more than proof that he might be gay. After their make out in Saber's car, they decided that it was time to go home. It was a little awkward on the ride back but it was given considering what just happened. 'I mean I got my tongue down his throat and I got hard, for crying at loud, and rubbed himself on the dude. It was made to be awkward.' Oliver was quite shocked when Saber kissed him on the cheeks as they said goodbye to Oliver's house but before he can even react, Saber was already back in his car driving away. Oliver just opened the door with a smile that he can't stop and got inside his room. With all the things that happened Oliver was thankful that it was Saturday tomorrow because he might be up all night just thinking about one particular boy. **** It was Saturday morning and Oliver just wanted to sleep in because his mind replayed his date with Saber over and over. It was almost morning when his mind allowed him to get some rest. He just wanted an uneventful day if he could but maybe he was not destined for that because someone was jumping up and down his bed trying to wake him up. He felt like he only slept an hour ago. "Wake up my gay friend!" Upon hearing the loud squeal of a female voice Oliver concluded that Yana was the one interrupting his quality time with his bed. "Go away." He mumbled and hides under his blankets not even correcting Yana for addressing him as 'her gay friend'. "Wake up Oliver or else," Yana exclaimed dramatically as she stopped jumping. Upon the threat of his best friend, Oliver instantly got up. "Fine, I am awake." Yana just giggled at her friend. Oliver knew not to mess with Yana's threats because one time that he did back in fourth grade when he refused to play tea time with her. Yana shoved ice cubes down his pants. It was not a memory to remember and he still shivered when he remembered that day. "What do you want early this morning?" Oliver asked while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. His best friend just rolled her eyes at him. "It is not early Oliver it is like 10 in the morning." His mumbling of 'It's still early for a Saturday' just went above Yana's head and continued talking. "So, tell me what happened yesterday. In detail please." Oliver is still disoriented and needed a shower and some breakfast before he can answer his best friend's curiosity about how his date went. "So?" Yana pushed Oliver when he just stared at her without speaking. "Fine, go shower and I will meet you downstairs. Your mom made eggs and bacon. But after that, you are gonna talk." Oliver nodded his head and went inside the bathroom to shower. After he was freshened up and fully dressed he went downstairs where he found Yana munching on some bacon. "Morning." Oliver greeted before shoving some eggs and bacon in his mouth. "Too late for that dumbass," Yana said which he just ignored. "By the way, your mom just went to the store because you're all out of orange juice and milk." "Mom just keeps milk in here because of you and you don't even live here. I don't even know how you like drinking milk it tastes weird." Yana just sticks her tongue out at Oliver. "Come on you got your shower and breakfast. Storytime." Oliver just sighed at the persistence of his best friend but tell her the story anyway. Yana can't stop gushing and interrupting his story with comments. When nearing the end where Saber and he stargazed inside his car he might have left the details about making out with the guy - just that Saber kissed him at the end. He almost felt his ears bleed at the loud squeal of his best friend. He can't help but look amused at the way Yana is fanning her face while occasionally giggling or sighing. It is the first time he saw his best friend like that. It looked like I'll be her entertainment for the rest of her life. "Oh my god Oliver, I can't believe that you are gay, well I may have suspected it once upon a time, but damn you are full-on," Yana said after her gushing moment. "Don't be ridiculous Yana I still don't know if I am gay or not." Oliver insisted on his friend. "Oh, hush. I want to ask you something." He just nodded his head to urge Yana to continue. "Did Saber's kiss feel disgusting that you want to vomit all over the floor or maybe wash your mouth with disinfecting liquid?" Yana's train of thought is really weird but it made Oliver think. 'Oh, what the hell I am thinking about? Of course, I'm not disgusted I kissed the guy back with the same intensity.' "No." was Oliver's simple answer. "See it means you are gay or maybe bi or pansexual or any letter in the l***q+. But you, my friend, are not straight. Because no straight man can accept a kiss from a guy willingly unless he's drunk or a bad case of playing with Narnians." Oliver just groaned and Yana continued. "And besides who wouldn't turn gay for Saber? That boy is way, way hot for the eyes and could pass up for a demigod. You are so lucky, Oliver." "Yana, I don't really know if I am that gay, gay." Yana just looked at him like he was sprouting another head on his shoulders. "I mean I haven't looked at any guy twice just because he is good-looking or had a hot body. Sure I can appreciate but to the point that I will drool or stare." "Maybe you are just like Saber. End of discussion," Yana said. Oliver considered what his best friend said and maybe that was the answer to all his questions and confusion. They both looked at the door when it suddenly opened. "Hey, guys." My mom greeted and we greeted back. "What are you two talking about?" He was about to say nothing when Yana beat him to it. "Oliver being gay." Mouth hanging open, Oliver gaped at his friend. He can't believe that Yana just blurted it out when he wasn't even sure himself - or wasn't still accepting it himself. He was also scared of what his mom is going to say. "Oh close your mouth Oli." Yana scolded. "But Yana!" Oliver countered but was stopped when he heard his mom cough to get their attention. He doesn't want to see his mom's reaction so he closed his eyes. Oliver knows that his parents are good people and don't spew discrimination - especially about the l***q+ - but he wasn't sure about their reactions when their only child became one. "Oliver, why are your eyes closed?" He heard his mom say. He just shook his head in his mom's direction or where he thinks his mom is. "Oliver open your eyes your mom will not murder you," Yana said sarcastically. With so much hesitation, Oliver finally opened his eyes and looked at his mom to gauge her reaction. It was weird that he felt like he was caught red-handed with his hand inside the cookie jar but his mom is actually smiling at him. "Why are you smiling?" Oliver said pointing at his mother's face. "It is rude to point Oliver." His mom scolds and he instantly muttered a quick sorry. "I don't care if your gay or not and neither will your father." "You don't." He was shocked at his mother's reaction. "No, we don't. You are still our son no matter who you love and besides your father and I were actually talking about you being gay 'cause you don't seem to like any girl." "Mom, you and dad shouldn't be talking about my lack of interest in girls or my sexuality," Oliver said appalled. "That is just plain weird." "What? It is not wrong for a parent to be concerned about their child." Oliver just shook his head at his mom's statement. "So how was your date yesterday?" His mom suddenly inquired. His eyes almost popped out of his head after what his mom said. He looked accusingly at the guiltily smiling Yana in front of him. This is the most embarrassing day ever and the day just barely started.
