Xavier POV.
Because there wasn't enough air, Jace's wolf passed out, so he changed back into a human. I said, "I don't have time for you," and carried Jace into the house and my room. Kai, Jaxson, and Kayden were sitting quietly on the bed with their eyes on the trunk when I came in.
"I can't believe Adam would leave his brother!" Kai called out. They didn't leave the room, but they could hear what was going on outside.
"I'm sorry, Xavier if I join them sooner..." Kayden, who is sitting quietly off to the side, has his head bowed because he feels bad about what he did.
"I told you from the start what could happen if I made you like me. And the advice about keeping your wolf under control isn't for me; it's for all of you." After I got Jace off the bed, I told him.
