Though Xavier had left, Lyca was still bewildered. She still doesn't know how to make sense of the emotions that Xavier awoke in her.
"What's wrong with me? Did I just-" Lyca halted and covered her lips. "... I almost made love to Xavier!"
Lyca dressed herself with shaking hands, despite her best efforts to calm down. To her shame, Lyca had to acknowledge that she enjoyed Xavier's physical attention.
"No! No! A sudden outburst of feeling! Please, Lyca, don't let this fool you. Keep Matthew in mind. You put him in harm's way, and now he may not make it!" Lyca let out a series of deep sighs.
Xavier came back a few minutes later with an incredulous Kai and Jaxson.
