Alpha Jessie's surprise mate

Chapter 34

Once I broke down the last door, I realized that we just didn't get here quick enough. We found the last girl finally, but she was already dead and I was furious. I was so mad I couldn't leave this place standing, this house of torture had to go.

"I want to burn this place down. It can't stay, our newest pack members should never have to see this place again." I tell my mate while crying hysterically.

"I will have that taken care of little mate" Jessie says while holding me.

"No I want to do it" I announce.

"You are free to do anything you wish my luna, you don't have to ask me permission." he says

We step outside, and I look at the girls, "Is there anything you wish to retrieve from that dreaded place before I take it down? I ask.

The first girl I found named Sarah speaks up and says yes, she runs into the room she was held captive in and brings out a very small stuffed animal.

"does anybody else need anything from inside?" I say.

"Luna all of Michael's paperwork and pack documents have been retrieved from the office for us to review later. There is nothing left in there." Wade speaks up.

"Amanda do you have a lighter?" I ask. I know she does because my friend is quite the pot head and doesn't go too long of a time without sneaking off to smoke a joint.

"Of course I do" Amanda says.

"Light it and hold it infront of me" I say and she does it with no hesitation.

I watch the flame for a short time and then close my eyes, I imagine myself multiplying that tiny flame into huge fire balls and shooting them into every window of that packhouse. I know it worked because my face was getting hot from the heat pouring out of that place.

When I opened my eyes I only turned around and asked the girls to get in the trucks asking Sarah to get in the vehicle with me and my Mate. I explain what happened with Michael their former alpha. Sarah tells me that Michael had been kidnapping rogue girls and even some from his own pack that he found attractive and was basically using them as s*x slaves, keeping them locked in their room, feeding them minimally, and the only time they recieved any interaction at all was when he wanted something from them. The girl that was in the last room, her name was Nancy, she was only 15, and she refused him. He became outraged when he she was able to defy his alpha commands, according to Sarah she even attempted to fight him off by giving him a swift kick to the balls, that was the cause of her death, he didn't feed her anymore and kept her locked in there. "But why didn't anyone stop him?" I ask her.

"No one knew we were here, everyone is strictly prohibited from entering the packhouse for any reason. The only exception that Michael gave Mathew was in the event of some kind of attack they could come in only for the purpose of protecting him." she says.

We get back to where the volunteers are working and it looks like Elizabeth did what I asked. There is so many people standing around receiving help and for a small moment I am happy, until I remember the man that caused all of this.

I let my mate speak because at this point I am still so overwhelmed that there is no telling what I will say.

"Thank you everyone for coming out, I am Alpha Jessie, and this is my amazing mate and Luna, Lacey Torres, please gather any supplies that you need and be ready to have a pack meeting in 30 minutes" he says, everyone nods but you can tell they are very unsure of how to react.

We sit almost in silence while my brain runs I'm circles. "How many houses do we have available right now?" I ask Jessie. "We have 22 available right now, but we also have the condo building on the west side of the pack territory and it has 10 condos readily available right now, but it's more of the party scene, the younger wolves live there cause it's easier access to get in and out of pack territory and they are able to be loud without disturbing others." Jessie responds. "And how many members would you say are here?" I ask

"Just based off of a general estimate , I would say about 105" Jessie says.

"We will take them all back with us today then, we can't let them stay here, we will make do with what we have." I say and Jessie nods, "I agree with that little luna" he smiles and gives me a hug "You're doing a great job. I'm proud you are my mate, I know this is really hard for you, but these people will always be grateful for you and what you are doing for them." Jessie says. "We are doing this together jessie." I respond. "Lacey I don't have the compassion that you have, I don't think about the things you think of, yes I can protect them from harm, but I can't protect their hearts or their feelings, and I don't know how to keep people happy, but you are great at that." Jessie says. We wrap up the conversation because his alarm is going off letting us know it's time for the meeting. We both stand up straight and head for the area that looks like a training field and everyone follows.

"I hope that everyone has gathered everything they need for right now, Me and Luna lacey have just finished our discussion about what the next move should be and I believe we have devised a plan. First and foremost is there anyone who doesn't wish to join the blood moon pack?" Jessie asks and waited a minute. Just as he was about to begin speaking again an older man stands up and begins to approach, "Alpha Jessie, I am called alfred, I am speaking on behalf of the entire former silvermoon pack when I say we have no objections to joining blood moon pack, we are all actually thrilled that you would even consider that. We greatly appreciate all the love and compassion that you and your luna have showed us, it's more than we have seen in years. We are all nervous, but after seeing our condition when you got here I'm sure you understand why, there's no need to continue alpha we will happily follow you and luna lacey, we owe you our lives." alfred finishes speaking and turns around to walk back to where he was sitting.

"If that is infact accurate then I would like everyone to gather any valuables from your homes and have a seat on one of the buses and wait so we can take you to your new home. there is 103 of you, so I will wait until each person is accounted for before we pull out of here." Jessie says with a smile as he turns to me and wraps me in a huge hug.
