Chapter 21

*Lacey pov*

I woke up in Jessie's room, wrapped up in his arms and I am so comfortable. I glance over at the alarm clock and it's 8:45pm. I jump up and run over to my room to grab my bags and I come back so I can get ready in Jessie's room because I just wanna be close to him.

When I came back Jessie was sitting up in bed smiling at the fact that I came back, "I thought I was going to have to hunt you down and drag you back in here little mate." Jessie smiles at me.

"I only went to my room for the bags." I say smiling

"This is your room lacey. If you're comfortable anyways, I would rather you be closer to me." Jessie says as he's climbing off the bed and coming to wrap his arms around me and kissing my forehead.

"I will stay in here under two conditions." I say in a serious tone.

"What is it, ill do anything?" asked Jessie as his facial expression slightly changes

"First off. You have to let me get ready, just this once, without s****l disturbance, because we are already very late." I say smiling.

"okay I can do that, what else?" Jessie asked

"You have to mate and mark me, tonight." I say waiting for his facial expression to tell me how he feels about it.

Jessie lights up and the biggest smile comes across his face.

"I would love to little luna, but do you mind explaining to me why you're suddenly concerned about the mating and marking." Jessie asks

"Selene told me to always listen to aliyah, and aliyah says it needs to happen, but it's not just because of that, I don't want to be viewed as the bimbo that's staying in your room and fulfilling your s****l needs without any intention of wearing your mark, I also just want to be as connected to you as possible and I feel like it would really help our relationship progress." I say waiting for his response.

"babe.... a bimbo? ha ha ha everyone knows you are my mate. But I agree on the rest. It will happen tonight, if you decide you are ready" Jessie says smiling and grabbing me for another kiss.

We finally break away from each other, and I take my bags to the closet. I pull out the dress I'm wearing tonight, curious of how Jessie is gonna feel about it, he's never seen me wear anything like this, it's shorter, shows a bit of cleavage and fits all my curves perfectly. I chose to leave my hair down and curly, I do a classic smokey eye and apply burgundy lipstick, and then slip on my matching heels.

I exit the closet to look at my gorgeous mate and ohh my goddess he is perfect, he's wearing a white button up shirt and dark colored blue jeans, and his eyes are fixated on me and I can see the lust in his eyes.

"Oh my, little luna you look stunning, I'm not going to be able to keep my hands off of you tonight" he says as he comes over and wraps his arms around me. He lifts me up to his level and he begins kissing me over and over again before he moves his kisses down my neck and chest and I let out a small moan. "mmm I liked that, make that noise again" Jessie says.

I smack his arm laughing "Jessie put me down, remember the conditions?" I ask.

"As a matter of fact I do. you said I had to let you get ready and I did that, you are ready!". Jessie says grinning and raising an eyebrow, letting me know I was defeated

"You sly dog." I say and we both laugh

"Let's go baby" Jessie says smiling as he grabs my hand to escort me out of our room and to the event center.

When we walk in everybody pauses and stares , most of the men looking at me earn a growl from Jessie until they all turn around and pretend they weren't looking. Most of the women are staring at my mate, and they get the same reaction from me.

Everybody slowly goes back to their activities before we begin walking around. And then I see her, Regina, and not only is Regina here, she's wearing the exact same dress as me, im not even mad about it, I'm definitely wearing the dress better, to the extent that she should probably go home and change to save herself the embarrassment. Regina comes over with a fake smile plastered on her face "alpha" she says with a seductive nod and smile as she flips her hair, she glances over at me "and lacey" she says in an uninterested tone. I look at my mate and whisper to him "Don't say anything at all to Regina, I want to handle it" I say. Jessie looks at me with a confused look but he nods his head at me.

"yall should let me make you guys a drink, It's your birthday alpha, you don't want to be sober all night." Regina says with a wink and I see Jessie's jaw twitch as he shoots me a quick glance at the fact that I'm allowing Regina to act like the w***e that she is. I giggle to myself while smiling at Jessie.

Regina returns with 2 drinks and she's smiling and watching a little too intently waiting for us to take a drink, I put my hand over Jessie's drink as a way to let him know not to drink it and he understands immediately.

*Aliyah- "she put 3 xanax in your drink, I can smell it, she put a small dose of wolvesbane in Jessie's, She's trying to knock us out and weaken our mate so she can take advantage of him"

me to aliya- "will the xanax effect me or am I immune?" I ask

Aliyah- "it will do nothing to you"

Game on.

I smile at Regina as I turn my cup up and finish the entire drink. She looks so happy right now "Damn that drink was good Regina, it taste exactly like 3 xanax' mixed into a long Island ice tea, how did you know those were my favorite?" I ask and I can feel my mates rage.

"what the f**k did you do regina?" Jessie spat.

Now we've gained everyone's attention.

"She's lying, I didn't put anything in her drink. I swear. Jessie she is just jealous because she knows you want me" Regina shudders nervously.

"Tell me what you put in my drink and what you put in alpha Jessie's drink, right now Regina" I say in a assertive tone.

"I don't have to tell you anything b***h, I said I'm innocent, and youre just a pathetic human that believes she belongs here, i know you are using magic or some other trick to fool alpha jessie, im not stupid" Regina says while she's glaring at me.

"Tell me what you put in mine and alpha Jessie's drinks NOW" I command.

"I put xanax in yours and a small does of wolvesbane in his" Regina says with hesitation as she is bowed down in the floor.

"why?" I ask

"I'm not telling you anything else" Regina says

"WHY did you try to drug me and the alpha Regina" I command again, this time Regina starts crying.

"I wanted you to go to sleep so I could seduce alpha Jessie" she responds with gritted teeth.

"well damn Regina. you call me weak a whole lot but who's in the floor crying?" I say. but its time to end this.

"You decide her punishment babe" I say while looking at my mate

"It's not treason because lacey is not and will not ever be my luna" Regina spat as a smile crept onto her face "Better yet, I Regina Moore challenge you Lacey Torres, for the title of luna to the Blood moon pack"

"I accept your challenge" I say quickly before Jessie has a chance to deny it.

"What? lacey don't waste your time or energy on this trash, she is not worth it and she is heading to the cells anyways" Jessie says.

"Alpha Jessie, I said I accept her challenge" I respond as he glances at me and sighs, "very well, when?" he asks

"Right now" I respond and everybody is shocked including Regina.

"You are dumber than I thought lacey. A human, fighting a fully trained werewolf?" Regina asks

"I guess we will see who the dumb one is!" I say with a smile as me, Regina, Jessie, and the entire rest of the party follows us outside.

aliyah- "let's play with her a little please?"

A smile crept onto my face as me and lacey began circling each other.
