*Lacey pov*

"Amanda it's literally killing me not to be all over him, but I don't wanna toss constant public displays of affection on him infront of his whole pack and I'm brand new here, I literally have to be touching him. I'm a Virgin and don't even know what s*x is like and I just want to jump all over him, what is wrong with me?" I ask her, seriously curious but almost crying cause I don't understand my emotions.

"It's the mate bond lace and its completely normal, it is very rarely heard of for a couple to be fated mates and not have s*x and mark each other within 48 hours, so you can go ahead and count on s*x happening soon." she says while giggling.

"what do you mean by marking each other?" I'm so lost

amanda turns towards me looking a little nervous "the best way I know to explain it is you're having s*x, and you'll get an intense urge to bite him on his neck, and you let your wolf take over and she will do it, he will do it to you as well, it only takes a moment to heal but when it does rather than being a bite mark it will look more like a tattoo, yours and his will match and it will stay there forever. The marking process really solidifies your mate bond. you will be able to mind-link each other and you will feel each other's emotions and you will even be able to hear each other's thoughts if you want to. it's intense." she says and I am amazed.

"that sounds insane and I want it, my wolf has been howling about marking since we were on the platform and is pretty pissed at me for shopping right now instead." I shamelessly admit to amanda.

"We will use this shopping trip to get you completely prepared for losing your virginity. if you want to do it and you think Jessie is ready what better night to do it than on his birthday." Amanda says with a wink.

I have a whole new excitement for this shopping trip now. I do want that so bad. The more I think of it the more I want to be as connected as I can to Jessie.

Me and Amanda walk around a few stores getting a couple of sundresses , a few party type dresses, some regular every day outfits, workout clothes, a couple new elegant dresses that amanda insisted I'll need. We went to sephora and ulta and got a bunch of makeup, then to Victoria's secret. After going all of these places we go to the food court last to get milkshakes and snacks before we head home. it's 2pm and I have an hour before Jessie's parents return to the house and I wanted to prepare myself first, because first impressions do matter. As I'm turning to leave I run into someone and I quickly try to appologize until I realize it's none other than the b***h herself. Regina.

regina: "watch where youre going i***t" she snaps "actually, why are you even here, you don't live nearby and clearly can't afford the stuff you have in your hands, and why are Jake and Sam with you? she asks me before directing her questions to Jake and Sam "why aren't you two at the packhouse helping my man get ready for his birthday party tonight? she snapped. and Jake and Sam turn red as they are about to answer I wave my hand off as if I'm telling them to not to say anything. "idk Regina, maybe you should swing by the packhouse later" I say shrugging my shoulders like it's no big deal. "Of course I'll be there I will be the future luna of blood moon why wouldn't I be there?" she snaps. I laugh in her face. "You clearly haven't heard, I'll let you figure out for yourself" I say and turn to walk away.

Regina is fuming and confused. and me and Amanda continue on not letting it ruin our afternoon. On the way home I had to ask because curiosity was too much for me

"Amanda why didn't you tell me you were a werewolf before you found out I was too?"

she huffed and looked at me "I knew this question was coming, I was a rogue, meaning I didn't have a pack that I belonged to, my dad was a beta and was trying to sell me to a beta from another pack for alliance purposes, when I refused to do that my own parents disowned me and they banished me. that's an embarassing story to tell and I was scared you were going to be afraid of me if I told you, I don't want to keep secrets from you though, and so I have something else to tell you.... me and Wade are mates. we have knew since he came to our school. but I was a rogue so he didn't know how to tell Jessie and didn't want to distract him while he was working on his mission. I really did want to tell you sooner, it's been really hard to keep it a secret, that's why I've been particularly bitchy, being kept away from your mate is really hard." She frowns and looks away.

"Amanda im not upset. I'm so glad you told me. Ask Wade to tell Jessie when we get back as soon as we get back. you could live in the floor underneath me at the packhouse and we can finally live a normal life." I plead

"You're the only person I know that can go from a human life to discovering you're a werewolf and your parents were practically royalty in a couple of hours and call it a "normal life"." she laughs and I do too. It did sound pretty crazy.

We are pulling up to the packhouse and I see my mate, he looks pretty stressed out. I need to figure out what's going on.
