Alpha Jessie's surprise mate

Chapter 18

*James pov*

"As I was saying before, We all had an incredible dinner together and then me and my Mate went to lay down, about 2 hours later we heard a scream coming from down the hallway, I jumped out of the bed and my Mate followed me we ran straight to your dad's office and your mom was crying on the floor outside of his office and she was clutching her chest. I kicked the door down to find your father actively engaged in s****l activities with another woman. It was almost as if he couldn't see or hear us there. I walked over to your father and I punched him as hard as I could he stumbled and fell out of the chair and my Mate ran to grab the woman that was there with him, after giving her quite the beating michelle drug her down to the dungeon for questioning later but that wasn't the main concern right now, your mother was missing now and nobody could find her." James says as he placed his hands on his face and inhaled deeply, clearly trying to hold back emotions.

"Is that how I ended up here and now? my mom just ran away?" I ask

"No lacey there is more, your mother ran off, she left the packhouse to get outside and walk and try to clear her head after what she saw. I stayed with alpha Torres for a while to try to explain what happened because he was dazed and confused, but after Michelle messaged me and said that Dianna was missing everybody began searching for her including me. Alpha Torres desperately wanted to help find her but he knew she would run further away if she sensed him getting near because she didn't want to see him. But when the searches kept coming up empty and we hadn't been able to find her still after 3 hours we all started suspecting some sort of foul play. The alpha ordered everyone in the pack to begin searching for their luna. He sent everyone off and he pulled out all the territory maps to look for any houses or buildings on the outskirts of our territory that she could possibly be hiding at. Everyone was supposed to be on the search for the luna and as soon as the alpha was done checking the maps he was supposed to join the team that had the top pack trackers and finding Dianna to bring her home and figuring out what has been happening. she was extremely pregnant and she couldn't shift so it shouldn't have been this hard to find her. We are all really starting to panic when we feel the link to alpha Torres break, we all knew instantly that he had to be dead, that was the only time that happened. Me and some of the top warriors rush back to the back house to his office when we find your father dead In his office. I will spare you the details. But it was obviously very personal. When my mate michelle arrived she was so hurt she couldn't speak but she secretly got the hidden camera out of alphas office, me and her snuck away to watch the footage alone because we weren't aware of who we could trust and most people were out still searching for Dianna. When we seen the video it was a shock but we suspected some sort of magic and we were correct. Basically this woman entered the room, your father would protest, push her away and tell her to leave before a blinding light flashed and left your father in some kind of trance, we watched the other details play out, including Michelle's beating of the other woman and then we fast forward to the alpha sorting the maps and desperately searching them to find his mate. Somebody came to the door that the alpha recognized because he glances up but then keeps searching the map, the man makes some small talk and your father throws his hands up to him as if telling him to go look for the luna. The man's name is Armando, he caught your father and killed him right there on tape." James says with tears leaving his eyes. Michelle had been crying almost the entire time, but to see James cry really made the emotions heavy because you could tell this man did not let himself break down easily.

"I'm sorry Lacey I'll continue now, just bear with me this is hard for me too" he says after taking a long breath in and releasing.

James seems to put his emotion away again and continues with the story.

"Now we knew who we were looking for, we went to his house in the pack, but of course he wasn't there, Michelle got a mind link from Dianna all she said was "come get me, underground bunker, door isn't visible, east side of territory, old willow tree" and she had cut the link. Michelle looked at me with her eyes so wide as she told me, I knew exactly where that tree was at but I knew nothing of an underground bunker. All the pack warriors and me and michelle ran as fast as we could to the east side of the territory to the big willow tree, we searched and it didn't take us long to realize where the door was at. We quickly entered ready to tear Armandos head off of his shoulders, he wasn't there, neither was your mother, but her scent was still really strong. so she must have just left." James says.

"I'm going to tell you the rest because for the remainder of this story me and your mom communicated through mindlink in order for us to find her" michelle says smiling.

"okay." I say in anticipation, waiting for the story to continue.

"Babe would you like to try to step out and grab some fresh air before we continue again you look really tense, and I know that's to be expected, but I'm starting to really get worried with how you feel through our bond" Jessie asks me.

"I really want to finish this story. But I need to go outside. I need to get out of here right now I'm too hot, Jessie, help" I say as I fall to the floor.

Jessie rushes to grab me, he picks me up and rushes to the elevator to take me downstairs and get me outside in the cooler air. Most of the pack members that were here were starting to gather around, worried that something was really wrong with their luna.

**James and michelle pov**

"Jessie. See if Roman can reach her wolf. maybe she can explain more" James says.

"Yes honey do that. I've already called Dr. rice he is rushing on his way here" michelle says.

"Roman spoke to Aliyah, she is only going to be down for a moment, aliyah is giving her human time to rest, all he will really tell me is that I need to shift and everyone else needs to stay here until we return" Jessie says looking to his parents who's naturally tan skin is drained of all color.

"Jessie did you just say her wolf's name is aliyah?" michelle asks, visibly shaking and crying.

"yeah.... why?" Jessie asks.

Before we know it lacey has shifted into a massive white wolf. She has a black tip at the end of her tail and her green eyes are shining so bright, she darts off running into the forest, and Jessie quickly shifts to follow her.

We turn around as all the pack members are stairing at the scene that just unfolded infront of us. We are shocked so we can imagine they are too, and they don't even realize the half of how crazy this is. All we can do is sit in the office and wait for them to come back for now.
