Chapter 33

I have got over my anxiousness for the most part since I discovered aliyah, her always being with me and speaking to me has greatly reduced my worrying, but I'm actually nervous right now. On the way to silver moon I have thought over and over again about what we are going to walk into, I have a small idea because of the vision, but I don't think that vision is going to prepare me for the true horrors that we are about to face.

Jessie slides over closer to me and places one arm around me and grabs my hands with his other "Everything will be okay little luna, don't worry, I am here with you, we are going to get to the bottom of what's going on and we will see to it that all of these people are accepted and taken care of." he assures me. I smile at him "I am truly lucky to have such a wonderful mate, I don't know what I did to deserve you." I respond.

"Lacey I ask myself that question every morning when I wake up next to you, you are beautiful, you are intelligent, you just found out you had a wolf and you and her are much more in sync with each other than people who have had their wolf for over 10 years. You quickly accepted the luna role and you are absolutely the best luna I've ever saw. You are truly perfect little mate." Jessie says while staring at me in the most adoring way.

"I hate to break it to you love birds, but we are pulling up to silver moon gate now, we should be watching for any threats." Amanda says with a smile.

"I love you" I tell Jessie

"I love you too little mate" he responds and plants a kiss on my cheek.

"I'm expecting most members to be happy to see us, after all their former alpha clearly was not taking care of them. But I am expecting some push back from the higher ranked members. Let's be paying most attention to our surroundings even when we are busy." Jessie says.

"Little mate, I would like it if you would stay as close to me as possible while we are here." Jessie says while looking at me.

"Of course I will."

We get a mindlink from Joseph

*Joseph- They are scared they won't open the gate*

*Jessie- Let them know I have challenged their former alpha for the title of alpha to silvermoon and that I won. Their alpha is asking them to open the gates so we can begin administering them the help they need. Jessie responds.

*Joseph- Gates have opened alpha, we will enter now.

The mindlink closes as we enter the gates the roads seem extremely empty. We can see glimpses of people looking out of windows and hiding. So we stop the cars and get out.

"Everyone if you could please come out, I am alpha Jessie Ramirez, of blood moon pack, this Is my mate Lacey Torres. We would like to meet all of you, we have brought clothes, food, and medical supplies, as well as doctors and builders, we need to get all of you comfortable and discuss our next moves as you will be part of my pack now if you wish". Jessie yells for everyone in their homes to hear.

Slowly but surely people start coming out, they don't look like they have showered, they are all very hungry. We begin administering their needs as quickly as possible. When a woman comes rushing out of her house "Please luna, help" she yells while carrying an infant in her arms. "Please help her, she is the only part of my best friend that is left, take her please, she will die if she doesn't get medical treatment soon." the lady says as she hands me the baby. The child was so small and weak and so young maybe 3 or 4 weeks old. I quickly rush the baby to the medical team for them to begin working on her. And I step out to find the woman, I finally search through the crowd and find the woman and I ask her for her name. "I am Elizabetb, luna, thank you for your help" she says bowing. "Elizabeth I'm not a big fan of formalities, you may call me lacey, please explain the situation with the baby." I say. "That is my best friends child, my best friend Amy. But Amy is dead now, I have done my best to feed her but we have nothing. I have taken her to other new mothers for them to feed her, but they have to have milk for their babies too, and with as malnourished as everyone here is a mothers milk production isn't the best." she says. "What happened to Amy if you don't mind me asking?" I search Elizabeths face, but all I see is anger. "When she gave birth to the baby, she needed medical attention, she had the baby here and I helped her, but after she pushed the baby out she began bleeding more than I have ever seen a woman bleed from childbirth, it wouldn't stop." she says getting teary eyed. "Forgive Elizabeth but why didn't someone take her to the hospital?" I ask. "We are not allowed to leave pack lands, we also can't go to the pack hospital unless it is on a monday, she had the baby on a Wednesday and there was no help for her." she says as tears stream down her face. I pull the woman into a hug and a few tears stream down my face as well. "Elizabeth I need you to do me a favor. My mate, alpha jessie, challenged michael for the title of silvermoon pack today, My mate won. Silver moon is now technically Blood moon, and we don't allow ANY of our members to be treated this way. You will have nice, well built, newer homes, you will have a nice school for your children to attend, you will have jobs to make your own money but the alpha covers all food expenses and housing expenses. You will have access to medical attention if needed 24/7, you will have everything that you need. Everyone will. I need you to spread the word and help get everyone on board. There is no need to be scared of us, we want to welcome you into blood moon pack with open arms and we want to help." I say to Elizabeth. "That will be easy luna, give me about 30 minutes to spread the word." Elizabeth says. "We will head to the main pack house for now to check that area out, volunteers will still be here to help but most of our people will be coming up there with us, take whatever you need and encourage others to do so also, we will be back shortly" I tell her and she nods and walks away.

"Jessie let's get to the main packhouse, I want to see the cowardly inhumane bastards that live in there knowing these people are out here starving and dying" I say to my mate with gritted teeth.

Jessie only gives me a nod and then he starts a mindlink.

*Jessie- Everyone be warned, Your luna is on the warpath.*

Joseph, amanda, and Wade let out a giggle and I side eye my mate as he hold his hands up in the air like he is surrendering and it brings a slight smile to my face.

We get to the packhouse entrance gate and of course they won't open it.

"Do what Michael did to ours and just drive straight through it" I say to Joseph and he glances at Jessie.

"You heard your luna Joseph, if they don't wanna open it take that b***h down." Jessie says

I jump out as soon as we enter. But I see no one, Mathew and Robert come up to me and Jessie and Mathew begins speaking "Don't expect anyone to come out, because they cant" Mathew says.

"And why not?" Jessie says

"Because they are kept locked up in their rooms." Mathew says with his head down and I begin jogging to get into the packhouse but the door is locked with a handprint scanner.

"Who can get into this?" I yell and Mathew approaches. He uses his handprint and opens the door, upon entering I didn't notice anything unusual but then I began hearing screams from a woman upstairs and I take off with my mate directly behind me.

I try to get in but it's locked also

*Aliyah- close your eyes and imagine a huge gust of wind blowing through the door*

"Step away from the door honey I'm about to break it down. On the count of 5 be as far away from it as possible." I say

In my head I begin focusing on the wind pushing through the door. I feel it blowing my hair all around and I hear things falling and breaking, I imagine a surge of energy blowing through me and into the door and it busting wide open, when I open my eyes it had done that exactly. But what I saw, was enough to bring the strongest person to their knees.

"Before you ask me any questions or try to save me, please go get the other girls, they have been here much longer than me." she says. I nod and tell amanda to stay with her and figure out whatever she can about the girl. I bust through countless more doors and have found 3 of the others, im still missing one somewhere and there is still about 5 more rooms including the basement. I finally broke down the last door and what I saw is what nightmares are made of.
