Alpha Jessie's surprise mate

Standing infront of me was the former Alpha James and Luna Michelle. I noticed tears forming in Michelle's eyes as we step off of the elevator. "Hello Son, Happy Birthday, you have done so well here all on your own and I am proud of you" grumbles his dad, while he stairs at my mate with pride. Jessie stands a little taller and gives a small smile and nod as he reaches to hug both of his parents. "I love you son. Happy Birthday. And how lucky of you to discovered this little gem" Luna michelle says to Jessie while she's beaming at me, still on the verge of tears. "I think now would be a good time to go up to the office to talk, we have much that needs to be discussed." says James. We all follow suit and Michelle grabs my hand leading me to the elevator leaving my mate with a puzzled face until he catches up. "I'm sorry Lacey, I'm not trying to be weird at all, but you look and smell just like she did, and I have missed her dearly." she says, more teary eyed than before. "You mean my mother?" I ask and she nods

That's weird because me and my mom didn't seem to resemble each other at all. Maybe before she got sick we did, but the pictures are so old and faded that I can't really tell.

We reach the 4th floor and walk to the office. We all take a seat and I notice michelle has a briefcase with her, I wondered if it's something she carries everywhere with her of there is something in it for me to see.

I straighten myself and signal that I'm ready and James begins, My mate moves closer to me and grabs my hand to hold it before he begins and causes both of his parents to smile at us.

"Lacey me and your father were good friends, we went to alpha school together, we found our Lunas at the same time. Your father met Dianna a week before I met Michelle, and the 4 of us regularly went on double dates, we planned events together, we did everything together. Unexpectedly one night your grandfather Alpha Romeo was murdered in his own office of his packhouse, the guards were all passed out when we returned and no one had any answers and no memory of what happened. Whoever killed him didn't leave a single trace. Your father was rushed to take the alpha position and when I say he was fit to lead, he was the alpha of alphas. He did his job perfectly and his people loved him. I helped your father here and there and we remained close friends because he was very on edge knowing that a traitor was in the pack, he had everyone questioned but the culprit never was discovered. Him and your mother began having problems and this is when I noticed something was very wrong, your father was fiercely dedicated yo your mother. He wanted nothing to do with anyone other than Dianna. But it seemed that she-wolves began popping up out of nowhere to try to trap your dad into bad situations and to hurt your mother. The first night this happened, I remember I had just left your father's office, I went to me and Michelle's room a few doors down from his office and proceeded to get into bed. I heard a disturbance like 2 minutes later and decided to go see if everything was alright . "Your father was yelling at the she-wolf to get out of his office, to leave now, I saw a bright light flash under the door and things went quiet for a moment and then I began hearing noises that didn't seem right. I knocked on the door and your father yelled for me to come in quickly fixing his pants, I looked at him in horror when I realized what was going on but I didn't realize your mother was standing behind me and she saw it also. Your mother ran into the room furious she grabbed the she wolf by the hair and drug her out of the office and down the hallway and threw her into the elevator and marched back towards the office for your father. She looked at him and said "If you can not respect our bond, reject me now because I am not second best to anyone and I will not act like it" Your fathers face was one of horror. "Dianna I didn't let her in, I didn't do anything, I don't remember what even happened Love please don't ask me to reject you I love you and you are everything to me" he pleaded. "That's what any man would say if they got caught messing around." she said as she turned and walked out of the door." James paused to check my reaction and see if I wanted to comment before he continued.

"My mother said that? She actually spoke and was confrontational about something?" I asked in amazement.

"Ha ha ha, your mother was a little ball of dynamite when it came to your father or the pack, she was not the one to mess with, everybody feared your father's disappointment but they more feared your mother's wrath." He says smiling and he reminisced on older times.

"I'll continue if that's okay lacey? I know this is probably hard for you" James asks while scanning my face.

"I am fine, yes, continue please" I say politely.

"The incidents with other women continued happening, and your mother would always walk in on it because she could feel through their mate bond that your father was somehow being unfaithful or something was wrong, but your father always claimed that he couldn't remember how it happened or how the woman got there. Me and Michelle spoke about it multiple times until one day it dawned on me, there was some type of sorcery at play here, a witch or wizard was attempting to break the mate bond between the alpha and luna. I asked Michelle to speak to Dianna because they were also best friends, and I knew she would be more considerate with it coming from Michelle instead of me. she always thought that I would make excuses for your father because me and him were so close. After Michelle spoke to her they decided to put a hidden camera in your father's office. back then, cameras weren't what they used to be, there wasn't wifi and you couldn't watch it from a cell phone at any given point, so they used a trail camera, like the ones that a hunter would use to determine what kind of game was coming to his woods. Your mom secretly placed the camera in your dad's office one day and then they left to go to the doctors office. They had a sonogram appointment to see how you were growing, your mothers pregnancy was progressing way too quickly and she was high risk.

For a few days everything was calm, we thought whoever it was might have backed off or even noticed the camera. We all ate together that night, the dinner was amazing, we all laughed and had a great time, just like the old times, I was hopeful that we were turning a new leaf and me and michelle went to lay down for bed. That's when the real horror story started." he looks at me with sad eyes.

My mate stands up and walks over to his liquor shelf. Me and Jessie had both been sitting on the edge of our seats and hanging onto every word his dad would say.

"I'm gonna need a drink for this." Jessie said as he poured himself some whiskey into a glass.

"if you don't mind. Make me one also son" James says

I glance over at the whiskey bottle and I notice michelle is eyeing it too.

"Honey can you mind-link someone and ask them to bring me and your mom a drink as well please? something strong." I say smiling and michelle gives me a small smile and a nod in agreement.

Within a couple of minutes everyone had a drink and James was ready to begin again.
