Chapter 4

Savannah

We enter the front lobby of The Voice Asia. It's quiet different from the lobby of the former company that i've been. This looks like a hotel lobby, it has two sets of black coloured couches and center tables with different brands of biscuits and snacks on top of the tables and different types of magazines under it. Everybody seems very comfortable with their choice of places while the others are in line in front of the front desk. This is the line for the trainees that's why me and my friends lined ourselves there. We all waited for our turn to sign the Trainees log sheet and be given a trainee i.d.

I spotted Steven Forbes still ouside the lobby talking to someone in his phone. He is wearing a sky blue long sleeve armani polo folded up just below his elbow, a black jeans and a white nike rubber shoes. When i turn my eyes into his face again, i found out that he is staring at me smiling. He wink at me and I turn my eyes away from him.

God! He really send chills on my body everytime he looks at me that way.

I finally got my turn to sign the log sheet and when the receptionist read my name, "You're Savannah Lewis? The trainee for team leader position?" she asked.

"yeah" i answered as she gave me the trainee ID.

"Ms. Kim wants to talk to you first at the HR office." she informed me.

I followed her instruction and head to the HR office located beside the training room. I knock and when I heard someone from the inside said, "Come in" I open the door and found Ms.Kim sitting on the swivel chair while talking to someone over the phone. She gestured me to come and sit on the chair infront of her desk.

"Yes John. I just need to talk to someone right now and he is about to meet the trainees at the training room." I heard her say to the person she's talking to on the phone. "It's okay, John. Thanks. Bye." after saying those words, she put the phone down and turn to me. "The boss is so worried about his son and I can't understand why because even if its Dylan's first time to run a BPO company, he seems to be doing well." She said.

I just smile at her.

She started telling me about everything that I need to do and let me sign the form from the bank so that they can process immediately my ATM that I'll be using for my salary. After I fill up the form she gave it to the bank messenger waiting at the lobby together with my bank requirements. When she came back she accompany me to the floor where the agents are gathered in their own teams for some pep talk before they started dialing. She led me to the team that i'll be handling and introduce me to their former team leader Abby whose having her last day today and to the whole team. After I met everyone in the team she told me that I can head to the training room now to have my training and she also inform me that I am not going to be in the training room tomorrow because Abby is no longer around tomorrow.

Steven

Everything in this company seems fine. Everybody seems to be doing their own job properly. The HR manager introduced me to all the departments. I've met everyone. The General manager named Andrew whose very fun. I've been introduced to the receptionist, accounting staff, IT's, Securities, QA's and the whole agents from different accounts together with their team leaders. I seem to like everybody except the Area manager named Felix. The guy is air headed and he always talk and act as if he was the most precious being in the universe.

The HR assistant informed me that the training is about to start. Kim the HR manager asked me earlier to visit the training room to meet the trainees. It thrilled me knowing that the brown eyed girl who almost say that she's lucky to be standing beside me in the elevator is in the training room. I know she's there because I saw that the receptionist gave her the trainee ID. As I reached the door of the training room I knock and it opens immediately by the trainer named Tony. As I enter the room, I scan my eyes through the faces of the people inside and found myself disappointed because the person that I'm looking for is definitely not here.

"Everybody meet Steven Dylan Forbes. The President of The Voice Asia." the trainer introduce me. He turn to me and say, "We're in the middle of introducing everyone. I asked them to state their name and how they wanted to be called, their age, if its not their first time working in the BPO what account they've handled before and lastly, what is interesting about them." he informed me.

'Well, since I don't have anything to do now I think I should stay for a while here.' i told myself.

I found myself sitting on the chair behind the desk infront of everyone. They all introduced themselves in a way that it should be and after that the trainer proceed to discuss about the company's history and braches. My mind is not focused on what Tony was discussing because it is clouded with the face of one person.

I decided to leave the training room when the first part of the training ends but the moment it ends somebody knock on the door.

"I'll get it." i told tony. because I'm going to leave now, but,when i open it, the person on the other side of the door made me change my mind.

"Steven" she said, that made me smile knowing that she didn't forget my name.

Tony immediately came to us. "Ah, You must be Savannah Lewis, right?" he asked her.

"Yes, sir." she look at tony and answer.

"Well, please come in and find a seat" he intruct her and turn to me. "I'm sorry,sir. But, Ms. Kim excused her because she needs to sign something and be introduced to the team that she'll be handling. One of the team leader's last night today in the company and she'll be replace by Savannah." He explained to me.

'Now I know why she's missing. I really thought I lost her.... Wait... What???... Why am I spending a lot of attention over this girl??? This is so not me!!!' I told myself.

I found myself again in the chair that I am seated earlier. Savannah is sitting beside her gay friend, then I heard Tony speak again. "Let me just inform everyone that Dylan here doesn't want to be called by his first name..." by his words I saw Savannah cover her face with her hands as if she screwed up so I immediately catch Tony's attention.

"Tony, may I just say something??" I asked him.

"Sure" he agreed, so I stand up immediately.

"Well, since everybody in this room introduced themselves except me and the fine lady who just came in. I've decided to give you a bit of information about myself, only, if Savannah is willing to play 20 questions here." I said. I don't know what got into my mind but I'm itching to know something about her. 'wait, 20 questions are too much. and you're in the training wherein everything is programmed.' I saw shock in Savannah's face. "Well, since we're just doing this for fun and to keep everyone awake. Lets just have 20 questions turn into 10 questions so that we wont be able to take a lot of time on your training."

"Why me?" asked Savannah with her frowned face. She still looks cute even if she's frowning.

I smile before I answer."I know you'll asked that. Well, as I've said earlier, it's only you and me are the ones who haven't lend some information about ourselves and you are the only late person in here. It's just a consequence of being late." I know I'm being unfair with her because she was excuse but I don't care. I want to know her.I need to know her.

"Late? I'm excused!!!" she complain.

"C'mon Savannah. Just do it. It's your first and last time that you'll be with us here in the training room, tomorrow you'll be on the floor. 10 questions wont hurt." says Tony.

I tap Tony's shoulder and say, "thanks man" and he smile at me.

"Fine." she gave up defeatedly. "I'll do it"

Everybody seems to be enlighted. "Good. Now let's start."
