Maya's POV
My phone rang at six in the morning.
Luca. I answered before the second ring.
"Don't send Aria to school today."
I was already sitting up. "What happened?"
"I got a photograph last night. Her school building. Taken from above, recently." His voice was flat and controlled in a way that meant he was keeping something back. "It's a message, not a plan. Isabella wants me to know she can get close. But I'm not testing that theory with Aria."
I got out of bed. "Okay."
"I've already called the school. I told them there's a family emergency, and she won't be there on Monday either. That gives us the week."
