David had the filing spread across his desk when Luca walked in.
He read it standing up. I watched his face go through several things in quick succession and settle on something very controlled and very cold.
"They listed my father," he said.
"As proposed, primary guardian in the event the court determines neither biological parent provides a stable enough environment," David tapped the page. "It's a contingency position, but it's in the filing. On record."
