Chapter 26

As Jennet got her resolved, she was excited when she entered the bathroom, wrapped in a bath towel. However, her smile faded when she saw her body in the mirror. The reddish and purplish marks were still visible on her body. It looked horrendous to her.

“I have no idea how I can rid these marks from my body. I also do not know how I got these marks.” She sighed and went under the shower.

Jennet was not sure if those marks would be permanent on her body. Although Dr Tiana said it would disappear, however, she could not trust her words. The diagnosis she heard from the doctor was unbelievable. Hue couldn't leave those marks on her.

‘Shesh, why am I assuming that he is the one that left these marks on me?’ She shook her head as she turned on the shower, diminishing the crazy thought.

After showering, she patted her body and hair dry. She pulled the drawer to get a comb and, she froze when she saw the pregnancy test kits that were kept there. She stashed the kits there to hide them from prying eyes because she had no proper place to hide them.

‘No worries, I will always be alone. Since he had not thrown them away, that means he had no idea what these were meant for,’ she concluded with a smile and grabbed the comb before closing the drawer, burying her worry.

She put on her pyjamas and combed her damp hair. ‘Hue is good in cooking and cleaning which I lack. I just need that excellence to have a peaceful life in this villa.’ She smiled wickedly.

Her messy mind had been cleared of the trouble and, she could not wait to execute her plan.

However, Hue glared sharply at Jennet when she appeared in the kitchen. He rose from the chair and approached her. Without a warning, he pushed her against the wall, pinning her near the standing fridge. Both of his hands slammed the wall that was about a few inches from her head. He looked intimidating when he leaned closer. “What are you planning to do to me?” he asked in a whisper as his high nose brushed against her earlobe, teasing her into giving in to him.

Jennet’s shoulder twitched when he teased her ear. Her heart rate accelerated insanely. The feeling was strange to her. She forgot that she was no good at dealing with the opposite gender. She forgot that he was not good for her heart.

The adrenaline rush that she felt within her body was a fact that she failed to withstand his charm every time he got closer to her.

If Hue continued to intimidate her using such a ‘dangerous’ approach, her intention would be jeopardized because she was weak at handling such an approach. Most of the time, she acted ignorantly to control the weakness.

Jennet gulped silently, hiding the fact that she was nervous. “I am too hungry to plan anything against you.” She placed her cold hands on his broad chest to push him away from getting even closer to her face.

However, Hue stood firm before her. He was unmovable as he kept her trapped within the barricade of his body. She could not run for freedom.

He smirked and lifted her chin upward. As their eyes met, he saw wariness in her eyes. A tinge of happiness crept within him. “I still need to do a thorough inspection on your body before you are allowed to have dinner,” he said in a low voice that only she could hear.

Jennet perspired and, her cheeks blushed as she faced away. ‘Thorough inspection? Does that mean I have to undress?’ She fought internally, feeling embarrassed.

She shuddered when he inched closer to her. Her heart was beating rapidly and, she could visibly hear it going ‘thump, thump’ within the ribcage. The silence between them also tortured her mind as she waited for his actions.

She prayed for the torturous moment to pass as soon as possible!

Hue focused his gaze on her crimson red face as he took a lock of her damp hair. He brought it to his nose and took a sniff. His eyes never left her face and, he knew she was scared to look back at him. He chuckled when he saw the awkwardness that she showed to him.

As he inched even closer, he heard the loud thumping within her chest. It took him by surprise. ‘Wow, she does know how to be scared of my charm. But, this makes me want to tease her even more!’

He laughed in his heart in victory and, a visible devilish smile appeared on his handsome face. He placed his warm palm on her hot cheek and, he could feel her body tense up when he brought his face closer to her face, about to kiss her.

Jennet widened her eyes in disbelief. She blocked his lips with the back of her hand. “What are you trying to do? Are you seriously going to kiss me?!” she yelled when she lost her cool.

Hue grabbed her wrist and pulled back his face with annoyance on his face. His expression changed within seconds!

“Kiss you?” he blared. “Do you think I was going to kiss you? You still have that stinky smell on you!” He rolled his eyes at her, blaming her,

Jennet blinked her eyes in guilt. Suddenly, she cupped her face in embarrassment and turned her back at him. ‘Goodness, I have embarrassed myself again!’ She cried in agony as her ears and face burned. She looked like a cooked lobster.

Her self-esteem went down the drain when he told her that she still stinks. She felt hopeless because she failed to brace herself especially when the statement was said by a handsome man like him. She had always been so bad around good-looking people and, she always kept a safe distance from them to keep her heart steady.

Hue stared at the woman who hid her red face from his view. He chuckled and turned her body facing him. “Hey, stop hiding your face. I was just joking with you,” he persuaded her. “I am sorry, honey. I didn't mean to say it. You smell so nice now,” he added as he pried her hands from covering her face. His face beamed with delight.

Jennet shot him a murderous glare for what he just said. She felt tempted to bite his ears off for pranking her with a prank that hurt her self-esteem. However, before she could attack him like a mad dog, her stomach growled. Instantly, she was reminded of a crucial part, filling her empty stomach with foods!

The two of them froze as they stared at each other speechless faces. Both of them could hear the loud sound that came from her stomach.

Suddenly, Hue burst into a burst of hearty laughter. “Honey, I am sorry for keeping you hungry for too long. Come here, honey.” He ushered her to the dining table and pulled a chair for her to sit.

Jennet sat down obediently. Throughout the dinner hour, she said nothing, not a single word. She was busy stuffing her stomach with all the delicious dishes served on the table.

Meanwhile, Hue looked at her with a satisfied expression. He felt contented when she gobbled the foods without complaint. His adoration for her intensified because he had planned to fatten her so that she could not run away from him.

After dinner, Jennet went into one of the guest rooms and prepared the bed for Hue.

If he were to keep staying with her, he had to sleep in the guest room from now on. She would not allow him to enter her bedroom again. Not ever!

“For whom is this room for?” A voice came from her side.

“Gyahh!” Jennet jumped on her feet when Hue stood beside her. His sudden appearance frightened the wits out of her. Her soul almost left her shell.

“Do not appear like that again!” she yelled and slapped him hard on his muscly arm. She was frustrated, angry and in shock. She had enough of a heart-racing situation and, she never dreamt to get a heart attack afterwards.

Hue cowered beside her when she took a bath towel from the wardrobe. She tossed the towel at him. “You stink of sweat. Go and take a bath right now,” she said, giving him back the treatment that he had done her once.

Hue smiled, showing his perfectly white teeth. “Thank you for telling the truth that I stink of sweat. By the way, would you love to join me in this holy ceremony of cleansing my stinking body?” He tilted his head with an eyebrow raised at her.

Jennet clicked her tongue disapprovingly. “Tsk, no one wants to take a bath with you, p*****t!” she said and tossed him a bathrobe that she took from the wardrobe. “I have no spare clothes for you so, bear with the bathrobe. Also, you will be sleeping in this room. Good night!” she added and went to the door.

But, she halted there, and glanced back, “Do not even think of sneaking into my room if you want to stay here because this is your room from now on.” Then, she slammed the door after giving him the warning. She ran upstairs, leaving Hue that smiled alone while holding the towel and bathrobe in both hands.

Hue smirked and entered the bathroom. “Well, go to sleep now, honey. I know when and how to join you later.”

Jennet was so naïve to think that she could stop him from entering her room. Well, she was gravely mistaken. He would get what he wants and, she would bend to his will.

A being like him was unstoppable!
