The sun had not risen from the east and the sky was still dark. Everything was still, not moving. No wind to blow the tree leaves. No movements of animals in any area.
In the morning, it was just the silence that embraced the surroundings as if everything had turned to stone.
"Aahh!!"
A desperate scream came from the villa. The scream alone shook everything to live, awakening everyone from their deep slumbers. Birds scattered in urgency, leaving their trees.
As light lit up the villa, a shadow appeared on the curtain, standing up hurriedly. The shadow grabbed something and hit someone near its feet. A yowl came shortly after that.
"Who are you?!” Jennet yelled and raised the bolster in her hands. “Get out! Get out!" She hit the long-haired man with it.
She panicked when she saw a foreign man, half-n***d, sleeping beside her as soon as she woke up. The sleepiness in her has washed away as the adrenaline surged throughout her body. It kept her energetic to keep hitting him if he dared to hurt her.
It was shocking to know that he was the same person whom she saw in her dream from the previous night!
Hue shielded his face from the violent hit. Whenever he moved, she would hit him directly in the face. It wasn’t pleasant at all because he started to see stars.
"My dear wife, please stop hitting me. Just let me explain," he pleaded. He was on the brink to cry due to dizziness.
"I am not your wife!" Jennet hit him even harder in one blow. She placed all her might in that one blow, enough to mobilize the man.
Her long and messy bed hair made her looked like a madwoman. But, she doesn’t care about it at all. No matter what the situation is, safety comes first, appearance comes last.
Jennet looked around furiously and found her phone on the table by the bedside. ‘I am calling the police!’ She made up her mind.
Before jumping off the bed, she hit him again. The man yowled as she made her way to grab the phone.
However, Hue regained his stability in no time. He chased after her and grabbed her hands before she could dial any numbers. The phone fell from her hands. It went under the bed.
"Please, listen!" Hue pulled her towards him. He secured her hands tightly as he embraced her from behind.
"Let me go!" Jennet struggled in his embrace. She stomped on his toes. However, Hue didn’t budge. He clenched his jaws to suppress the cry that nearly jumped out of his mouth.
"Help!" Jennet screamed when Hue tightened his grip, locking her in his tight embrace.
"Just listen to me!" Hue raised his voice, intimidating her. However, his action worsened the situation.
The woman turned even aggressive. She bit him hard on the arm like a savage animal.
Hue yowled in pain. He let her go but at that instant, he grabbed her wrist and tightened his grip.
Jennet tried to claw his face but he grabbed her hand from clawing him. She tried to bite him again but failed when he tackled her feet. She lost her balance and both of them fell on the bed with him on top of her body.
Hue took the chance to suppress her intent to flee by pressing her hands on the bed, beside her ears. The two of them eyed each other as their hearts palpitated. Neither can speak as both were catching their breaths.
"Please just calm down," Hue said softly after regaining control over his heavy breathing. The pair of his almond-shaped eyes pleaded with her to stay calm when he stared into her brown eyes.
However, Jennet couldn’t stay calm not while an unknown man was on top of her body. Her face turned pale when she looked at the handsome face above her.
It was a living nightmare to see a half-n***d man pressing her in bed.
Unexpectedly, she kneed his lower body. However, the man was fast to pick on the attack and he grabbed her leg from hitting him in the ‘where-it-hurts-the-most’. He locked her leg by coiling his long legs between hers, instantly paralyzing her movements. Even if she moved, she couldn’t hurt him because he will be the one to the victor the dominance of her body.
"Let go of me!" Jennet screamed to his face. She struggled to free her wrist but his grip was too secured. The handsome man was too strong when compared to her meagre strength.
“I mean you no harm and I want you to stay calm,” Hue begged her, trying to pacify her erratic emotions.
The woman beneath was staring at him as if he was an alien. Suddenly…
“Help!!!” she screamed in a high-pitched voice, one that could burst the eardrums.
Hue was startled and he immediately silenced her by pressing his mouth on her mouth; applying force on her mouth so that she could stay quiet. At the same time, he took the chance to kiss her intensely when his desire for her, ignited.
Oh, he had waited for so long to finally laid his lips on her lips.
Jennet struggled beneath him. She tried to scream but, her voice was muffled by the kiss. It was both unpleasant and disappointing because she couldn’t fight him.
She tried her best to wiggle her face from him when she was short on breath. Her face turned red due to a lack of oxygen. As seconds went by, her body went weak and so did her strength.
Hue finally released her lips when she was on the brink of travelling to the fainting world. Her face fell to the side, powerless. Her lungs were parched for air as she gasped desperately for it. She had no energy to struggle.
Hue stared at her without removing his hands from hers while he gasped for air too.
“I want you to stay calm,” he said after gaining control over his breath. “I mean you no harm. I meant it,” he added softly.
He got a guttural growl and a scowl as a reply.
Well, he couldn’t blame her for acting that way with him. He deserved it because he shocked her with his existence.
While the woman looked away, probably thinking of a way to get free, Hue shifted his gaze towards her swollen red lips. Then, he shifted his eyes towards the nape of her neck that was littered with reddish-purple marks.
A smile appeared on his handsome face when he saw them. But, his cheeks reddened when he recalled how he had left those on her.
He slowly let go of his tight grip on both of her wrists. "I am sorry," he apologised, "I am sorry for making you scared," he added and ran his long fingers in her hair.
"Get away from me!" Jennet said coldly with a strain in her voice. She turned her face towards him with a scowl. Her gaze, however, fell on his thin pink lips that were swollen a bit because she bit on those earlier.
That instant, she looked away, feeling uncomfortable and awkward because she could feel the lingering feeling of those soft lips on hers.
For the record, that same lips also stole her first kiss. When she realised it, her little heart pounded erratically and without rhythm which caused a slight discomfort in her chest.
‘I need to chase him out!’ she fought internally. ‘My heart is beating abnormally because I am panicking!’ She debated with her conscious mind. 'It wasn’t the time to blush over a stolen kiss,' she told herself.
Hue looked at her who refused to look in his direction. But, he caught the shade of red on both of her cheeks which left him wondering.
However, when he realized something, he smiled. "Hey, I didn’t know you’re a shy person. Are you shy over that kiss from just now?" he asked. His tone was cheerful as if they had known each other for a very long time.
All of the worries he had, vanished without a trace when he lowered his guard too soon by showing his recklessness in showing his over-friendly nature to her.
Jennet took the chance to free herself by pushing him to the side. Their position switched when she got on top of him, staring at him that wore a surprised look on his handsome face. She grabbed a lock of his long golden hair to threaten him.
If he dared to move, she would pull his hair until he got nothing on his head.
“Who are you?” she asked with a menacing tone. The tone of her voice was not as friendly as usual. It was as cold as the eerie graveyards, ready to cover him with dirt if he failed to answer properly. Her sharp gaze was also warning him that he should not mess around with her.
