As they returned to the cottage, Rowan felt a surge of relief and gratitude, her heart swelling with love for the man beside her. They had faced the darkness together, and they had won.
Ash pulled her into his arms, his voice a low, comforting rumble. “It’s over,” he whispered. “We’re safe now.”
Rowan leaned into him, letting herself relax for the first time in days. “Thank you, Ash. For fighting beside me, for trusting me… for everything.”
He tilted her chin up, looking into her eyes with a tenderness that took her breath away. “I couldn’t have done any of this without you, Rowan. You’re my strength, my light.”
They shared a deep, lingering kiss, the warmth of their connection sealing the bond they had forged in the fires of magic and love.
