CHAPTER ELEVEN
Michael has been pacing the floor of their living room for the last hour. They’ve been waiting for Steven to show up with any sort of information on his dad all day. He and Chloe’s worries are even starting to wear off onto John and their mother. Chloe has maintained her eerie feeling since they left the Smith home this morning. She can’t seem to push away the images of all the girls in the newspapers. She wonders if Mr. Smith would turn on his own son, had he found out the secret.
Michael and Chloe are both convinced that Mr. Smith is the one who killed Misty, especially after stewing on it all day. It is the only thing that makes any sense. He had all the weapons that were used on the murdered girls years ago, he’s kept all the newspapers, he has a temper and a drinking
