CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Chloe sits in the silence of the woods, tied to a tree. She hasn’t seen Deputy Evan for the last hour. The darkening sky brings the cold with it. She’s wearing nothing except Michael's tee shirt and she’s freezing. She’s frightened and every inch of her is shivering. She searches the trees, waiting anxiously for the return of her attacker while she recalls the events of the last horrifying hours of her life.
