The Prince's Secret

Episode III

The sun is sure bright today. Sayaka sighed as she covers her face with the palm of her hand from the rays of the sun.

The gloomy clouds is not around but why do I feel gloomy instead?

 She is walking from the dorm towards the main school building carrying only a black notebook with a blue push pen clipped on it.

“Sayaka-san”, a female student called out her name waving from the 2nd floor of the dorm.

Sayaka stopped from walking and looked back and upon seeing the face of her classmate smiled and signed that she will wait for her.

“Ha, uhhh… thanks for waiting for me Sayaka-san!” she said panting.

“You didn’t have to run Rukiya.”

“Uh, I don’t want to keep you waiting for too long, it is okay.  Hahaha!” she said laughing while crouching and her hands still on her knees. She lifted her head and asked Sayaka, “So how’s your class with the freshmen?”

“Ha..ahh…” Sayaka muttered, she doesn’t even know how to start answering her question. She held her notebook towards her chest and started caressing her arms with her fingers.

“Is something wrong? Henri even followed you to his class.”

“No. Everything is alright. He is still the same.”

“Uh, I guess, he really can’t help himself seeing that there are new beautiful blood bags eh?”

“Hmm.” Sayaka smirked.

Rukiya suddenly cut in front of Sayaka and stretched her arms to hold on to her shoulders. “If there is anything you want to talk about, just anything and when I say anything just anything, you know that you can always talk to me alright?” Rukiya’s round black eyes staring intently to Sayaka’s eyes.

Sayaka took a step forward and rested her head on Rukiya’s left shoulder. She paused for a moment and reached out her right hand and caress Rukiya’s short black hair then she hugged Rukiya and said, “Thank you Rukiya. But I am truly okay.” She smiled and walked away.

Rukiya sighed as she looked at her friend’s back.

A group of students entered the library, they were loud but not intentionally. They were shocked of how big the school library is. The library is a big dome, 5 floors tall with at least 50 long tables and 200 chairs in the main hall. The bookshelves are all lined up on the sides of each floor, there are tables and chairs available on the side of the railings and each table is well lit due to the huge hanging chandeliers.

“Look at this!” Isabelle exclaimed. “This is yet the largest library I have ever seen!”

“Have you even visited any other library aside from our previous school?” her classmate chuckled.

“-Hey Victor! How mean!” Isabelle frowned.

“But I agree with you, this is yet the largest library I’ve ever seen! I’m getting excited!” Victor said grinning while rubbing his hands.

“Hey don’t act like that. You looked like you are going to steal something!” Chad chuckled.

“Shhh.. let’s keep moving now. The seniors are looking at us.” Erin whispered smiling. The group agreed giggling but lowering their heads to the seniors in the main hall.

The group toured around the library, looking shelf by shelf, floor by floor until they’ve reached the 5th floor.

“Ah, man! My knees are shaking I don’t want to go any further!”

“- There’s nowhere more to go you i***t!”

“Hey Isabelle! My name’s Charles! Remember it already!” he said panting and sat on the floor.

“Hey, look there!” Chad pointed to the left corner of the floor. “Isn’t that Lady Tachibana!”

“Chad, can you drop the ‘Lady’ thing already? Teach Cloud even said it right? You are not even Japanese!” Isabelle said bustling.

“But I am English!” Chad replied.

“Well, technically there’s no more English or Japanese because during the war all countries were destroyed and flattened-”

“-Don’t make this into a lecture Victor!” Isabelle butted in. “Why don’t you use that smart mouth during our class?” she added.

“Hi Sayaka-san!” Erin waved to her.

“Oh, are you guys having a school tour?” Sayaka asked softly.

The group approached her table and took the seats from the empty tables to sit with her. There is no one else on the floor but them.

“What are you doing here at the top floor Sayaka?” Charles asked. “This library is so big and it is so tiring to go up here.”

“You’ll get used to it if you go up here almost everyday.” she giggled.

“You are so diligent Lady Tachibana. It’s just the start of the school and you are already studying.” Chad remarked.

“Calling me Sayaka is okay Chad.”

“That’s what I’ve been telling him but he won’t listen!” Isabelle said.

“Why does he even call you Lady Tachibana?” Charles asked.

Upon hearing this Isabelle looked at Charles with disbelief.

“Are you an idio- “

“Charles, are you joking or are you serious?” Victor asked.

“Why? There’s nothing funny in my question right?”

The group shook their heads in disbelief and Sayaka just laughed it off. They apologized to Sayaka and excused themselves.

“-Hey, what’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong Charles? You asked?” Isabelle said irritated.

“Hey, Isabelle calm down.” Victor said as he flicked a finger on Isabelle’s forehead.

“Hey you! That hurts” Isabelle exclaimed as she chased off Victor.

“Why don’t we grab some snacks first?” Erin suggested which the others agreed.

At the cafeteria.

“So, you mean Sayaka’s family is one of the last families who fought off with the vamps and later on became one of the founders of the World Government?” Charles said while chewing his hamburger.

“Yes. Their family is part of the ruling party of the Japanese at that time. It was also mentioned in the books that their family descended from the Emperor of Japan.” Chad added as he sliced off his pudding.

“Oh, that’s why you keep calling her Lady. Well, one look and you can tell that she’s definitely not a commoner like us. But we no longer live in the era where there are kings, queens, royalties and blah blah.” Charles responded and began to sip his cola.

“Well, what you are saying Charles is also true. But behind the government, there are still certain families who are regarded as ‘royalties’, even vampires has them.” Erin pointed out as she wiped off her mouth after eating her cheesecake.

“Uh, yeah you even know about the purebloods Erin! Even Teach Cloud was surprised!” Isabelle said as she grab on Victor’s pizza. “-Hey Isabelle!” Victor protested. “It’s payback for earlier!” she said grinning.

“Well, I am actually really curious about Vampires even as a kid.” Erin said smiling. “My grandmother always tell me tales about how terrifying are purebloods!”

“Oh!!! Was she able to meet one?” they asked.

“No. Actually her tales are just passed on tales for generations. We are always warned to stay away from the purebloods. It was something taught to us since we were kids, but I got interested with purebloods in a different light. That’s why I was so surprised when Teacher Cloud mentioned that Henri is a pureblood!” she said somewhat flustered.

“Yeah! Henri is very handsome. He even looked like a high rank noble but he doesn’t come terrifying like other noble vampires!” Isabelle exclaimed. “Teach Cloud was even more terrifying than him but sexy-“

“Teach Cloud, Cloud, Cloud!” Victor teases Isabelle. “He even used his powers on you! Wasn’t that a violation of the school rules? He should be reported to the headmaster!”

“No way I’m reporting him to the headmaster! And don’t you even dare!” Isabelle said grabbing Victor on his collar. “You don’t understand the feeling of having those piercing blue eyes! Or red eyes looking at you! His eyes looks like it is looking into my soul, my very being! It was so intense that I feel so uhhmm at that time!”

“Hey? Weren’t you shaking of fear that time?” Victor forced her hands off his collar. “You looked so messed up that time, we thought that you might have been caught up to some weird illusions. They got powers like that right?”

Erin and Chad nodded.

“Well, it was said that some vampires have that kind of power. But each vampire has different powers and it really depends on what family they came from.” Erin added. "Teacher Cloud seemed to came from Europe, I think even Henri is from there too."

The group continued their discussion on vampires at the cafeteria. Erin, Chad and Victor made most of the talking while the others just listen.

At the administration building, Sayaka just got out of the Board’s room when Cloud suddenly greeted her.

“Hi Sayaka, it’s rare to see you here.” Cloud smiled.

Sayaka ignored him and continued to walk. This caused Cloud to raise a brow and made a slight grin.

“Can we talk?” he said as he appeared on her side.

Sayaka wasn’t even able to answer him; he just teleported them to the headmaster’s room.

Sayaka lifted her head, looked straight to Cloud’s blue eyes and slapped him.

“My apologies my Lady.” Cloud said, now with his eyes turned red. He leaned towards Sayaka pinning her against the wall and asked, “Did you enjoy yesterday’s show?”

Sayaka’s eyes grew big in disbelief; her eyes became blur and watery. She’s breathing heavily and feels upset and hurt?
