Abigail's POV Gus was awaiting my return, and he greeted me by rubbing against my legs as soon I stepped through the front door. He must have smelled Casper's scent on me because he followed me when I put my shoes in the hallway corner and when I hung up my keys. I kept feeling his soft wet nose kiss my leg. "Abigail, can you come here?" Momma called from the kitchen. I knew I didn't have much of a choice, so I followed her voice to where she sat at the kitchen table.
