The vision engulfed Nadika, overriding all five of her senses. Like the twin beams of light that had hollowed out her eye sockets and seared her visual cortices, the message from afar had appropriated her sight, hearing, smell, taste, and tact.
As swiftly as it had come it was gone.
For a moment Nadika thought she was once again bereft of sight. Then the warmth of the afternoon sun returned, the sight of trees reassembled, the feel of the ground under her feet, of clothes against her body, of wind against her cheek. Fragment flowers returned
